This small boutique hotel means you give up spa facilities, which is fine with us, but the value otherwise is just not there. This is not 5-star hotel even exluding the spa. I'd say barely 4-star. My wife and I stayed in one of the larger rooms - the Hetman Apartment - a suite, which was very spacious. The bed is very comfortable unless you are 6 feet tall or taller; the mattress is only 6'4" long and you find your feet butting the footboard. The "shower" is like many European hotels with the handheld sprayer that can be placed in a holder, except that the holder is too low and is not properly fitted and the metal sprayer falls onto your head and/or feet unless constantly held with one hand (making the holder useless), plus the screen along the bathtub edge to prevent the bathroom from flooding when the shower is being used is both too low and inadequate in length. The internet service is not WiFi and barely 2000 technology and poorly located in the room. Although we had two flat screen TVs (about 30 inches, one in the bedroom and one in the living room), the satellite feed requires a card system which twice needed attention by a technical assistant (who did come and fix the problems proptly). The location is excellent. The people are very friendly and helpful. However, we'd have to consider other options on a return visit.
