Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 72cramped room
While it was conviently located and the staff was friendly and supportive, the room was quite cramped and run down. Also, tour buses frequently came and went and left their engines on while outside -- sometimes quite early. Noisy!

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 72Nice location, but that's about it
I spent two nights at the Bond Hotel for a business trip. The lobby is somewhat dark and in need of upgrade, as are the halls. The room looked like it had been upgraded with wood laminate floors and a flat screen on the tv. The biggest discomfort was the twin bed that I had to sleep on, and that rolled on the floors when I leaned against the backboard to read. The bathrom was somewhat dingy and had not been upgraded. Had to pay $9.00 for an unsecured wireless connection in order to use the internet. Location was great, next to shopping and events for the Toronto International Film Festival that was going on. Plan to spend $50-55 on a taxi from the airport.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 72Worked well for us
We flew to Toronto for 2 days at the annual film festival. We chose Bond Place because it was reasonably priced and a very convenient location. Airport Express bus goes right to the hotel, it's just off the bustling Yonge-Dundas Square, which meant easy walking distance to all the festival locations (max was about a mile). Room was small but clean & comfortable. One caveat: strong smell of chlorine when we first arrived; they'd obviously cleaned, but pine or lemon would have been a more welcoming scent. Now, we are not fussy about hotels. A clean room, comfortable bed, good location, reasonable price are really all we ask. More demanding travellers might not be satisfied, but for a downtown location in this price range you'd probably not be able to do any better in Toronto.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 72Good choice for downtown
Small room but nice and clean, no safe no fridge. Super downtown location, easy walk or take Subway to any interesting spots.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 72Great room and location for the money
Great location in the Dundas Square (Time Square of Toronto) But Small Room. Friendly Staff; Evey thing is nearby. Eating places, Shopping etc. Can a nice 20 min walk to CN Tower. Separate Charge for Car Park is a minus. Overall Satisfied.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 72Great Central Location
The hotel itself is in a great neighborhood within walking distance from Chinatown, Little Italy, the College District, and oodles of shopping. Parking is $15/day. The hotel itself is quite old but you can tell they have spent some money to do new renovations like wood slat flooring, flat screen TV's, and room lighting. There was a bit of mildew in one ceiling corner of the bathroom and the bed was kind of squeeky with an average mattress.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 72nice room, not much service
The room was clean, recently updated, and reasonably well-kept. Service was a bit lacking -- I didn't have soap or a bathmat the first night and the greeting at the front was to tell me to go park my car first before checking in, or I would get ticketed. The parking was adequate, though $15/night, and when I went to retrieve my car, someone had broken a beer bottle in the elevator -- not the hotels fault, but not very pleasant either.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 72Not what Expected
When I booked this hotel it claimed to be a double standard bed meaning or bigger. However, when I got to the hotel I ended up with two twin beds and for a roll bed it was an additional 15 dollars? Ugh but the location was great very close to the subway and to entertainment.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 72Great location
The Bond Place Hotel is in a great location-close to public transporation and to downtown Toronto. Rooms are a nice size and clean. Only complaint about the room is the beds are on rollers and have a tendancy not to stay stationary. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Requests for extra towels, coffee, etc. was taken care of promptly. It was pleasant to stay there & we would stay there again. If you want a no-frill basic hotel this is the place to stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 72Good value what you get for the money
Hotel was under renovation on some floors, and house construction close to it, so it was kind of noisy, also the noise from the streets you can easily hear. With the personnel I had sometimes communication problems because of the foreign languages spoken. But the location is greta, the personnel very nice and try to help where they can.
