Trip Type: Romance Review 17 of 72Amazing location
The only real outstanding feature of the hotel was its proximity to the heart of downtown Toronto. The hotel was less than a block away from a variety of great shopping, dining, and other tourist attractions. Warning: Amenities were very very expensive.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 18 of 72Amazing location, great view, good price
This hotel overlooks Dundas Square, Toronto's equivalent to New York's Times Square. The location is great, the view from our hallway window was amazing, and the price was surprising. Keep in mind if you're driving, the only place to park is in their garage, which costs money. There was only one check-in clerk, who had to deal with two customers in line in front of me, another hotel employee asking her to make copies, and the phone ringing constantly. It took about twenty minutes for her to get to me (no fault of hers, just understaffed), but once she did, I was checked in within a minute. Great value for the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 19 of 72Great Location, Mediocre sleep
It's a great location on Dundas Square, convenient to the street car and subway. Clean and very curteous service. Only downside, the mattresses were exceptional firm and the pillows cheap. With a slight improvement in the "comfort" rating, we would highly recommend and certainly stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 20 of 72Very Convenient Location
An unpretentious older hotel under renovation. I stayed in a standard room, which would be crowded for 2 people, but was perfect for a single traveller. Very quiet, & comfortable in a simple way, though the TV was a little sluggish to navigate. The location is fantastic: A 1 to 2 minute walk to the subway, buses, Eaton(shopping)center, currency booths, movies, eateries & restaurants. There is a small restaurant in the hotel, but it was only open for breakfast & one evening during the week I was there. A business center is in the planning as well, although internet is already, accessible. Airport shuttle service is also available every half hour or so for $20 or around $34 round-trip. My only disapointment was the reception staff, in that although helpful, they never smiled! the housekeeping crew however were very friendly!

Trip Type: Business Review 21 of 72Some flaws
Good value for an older downtown hotel. Needs major upgrades. Caters to young tourist travelers. Parking is accross the St and daily rate is best we have paid in Toronto. Key system to get in to parking area didn't work and had to inform desk when we were going to get the vehicle. Parking fees had to be paid in cash at the lot. Close to St. Michaels Hospital which was our reason for choosing. Restaurant was closed for season? Beds are older along with a 14"TV.

Trip Type: Business Review 22 of 72Decent for the price
The hotel is a decent deal, very good location. The breakfast is terrible, "restaurant" is an overstatement. But there are a fair amount of options in the neighborhood (if you want to brave the cold in the winter as I had too).

Trip Type: Romance Review 23 of 72Good For What You Pay
I got a really good deal on this hotel room (15% off) from hotels.com which I think was the quality of the hotel. It was in a fabulous location but almost everything was extra (even local calls). The room was very clean but very small and the bed was really uncomfortable. Besides that everything was pretty basic.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 24 of 72Great for the Money
The Bond Place Hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a no-frills place to stay in Toronto. The room I stayed in was small but cleaned and maintained daily. The location is in Dundas Square which is bascially the "times sq" of Toronto. This location is great for public transportation and almost acts as a cross-roads to all parts of the city. For being such a large hotel (there are 16 floors) it is very quiet. You can't hear any of the outside traffic or noise unless your window is open. The clientele that stayed in the hotel were an international mix of people. All of which seemed clean and kept to themselves. Parking was very easy. For a very small fee per day you can park your car in the hotel garage and not have to worry about it being outside or having to move it. All and all I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who needs a clean, safe place to sleep and shower. If you are looking for excitement within your hotel, this is not the place.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 26 of 72good for the price
It was a pretty basic hotel, great price for the location. Nothing fancy but a decent place to lay your head for the evening, and right near everything. Block away from eaton centre area which is reminiscent of times square so i felt like i was in the middle of the action!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 27 of 72Great Hotel
The Bond has a wonderful location in downtown Toronto. It is literally 5 minutes from subway, Eaton Centre (huge mall),has great food in the area and lots of shops. If you stay there, you must go eat at The Senator which is a block away from the hotel. It's a great diner with fantastic food. Based on previous reviews I was concerned about the size of the room, but was pleasantly surprised that it was a good size for two occupants. The room was very well maintained and I loved the bed. :) I fully recommend this hotel and plan to stay there when I visit Toronto again in 2009. Ya just can't beat the price!!!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 29 of 72Just OK
It was in a great location in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant downstairs was good. I did see some type of small bug on the headboard of my bed that freaked me out. The hotel has a early '80's feel.
