Great Place To Stay!!!

The hotel was a great place to stay. The view of the St. Thomas harbor was breath taking. The only negative thing that I can say about the hotel is that it is on a very steep hill so walking down is okay but walking up you will get very tired and out of breath but walking everywhere is worth it because the taxi fair is very high. With the location of this hotel all shops and attractions is only about a 10-15 minute walk so its in a great location.

Great little bar/friendly barkeep....biggest disappointment was location of room and bed size. Requested harborview..had no view, requested king or 2 queen size bed...got 1 queen?...saw room on harborview and was fantastic!! Late evening flight and no one to handle room change request and then next day adv no other available. Booked 1 1/2 mo. advance. Possibly renovating?

What you pay is What you get! Nice clean room; Daily Maid service (may be coz it was off season); No Frillz

This is NOT a hotel! Itas a time share. The worst sevice I have ever had. Please....please do not stay there!!

"Wonderful Accomodations"

My wife and I were more than pleased with our stay at Bluebeards Castle. Day and nightime views of Charlotte Amalie and the harbor were outstanding. Every hotel employee we had contact with was polite - professional - helpful. Only drawback we could see, the hotel is on a hill and you can walk to any part of town down the hill, but will need a taxi ($4.00 ea.) back up the hill if you don't have a car. Again, the views from this hotel are spectacular.

Hotel 2 Stars - Restaurants 5 Stars

First impression was horrible. They did not have my name listed as a reservation. I had to boot up my laptop to retrieve my Hotels.com reservation confirmation number. So be sure to bring a print out of your confirmation! Next, the room quality was sub standard. The room had a musky smell to it and I noticed an build up of dirt behind the furniture when I pluged in my laptop/cell phone chargers. Also, the toilet had a small leak from the base each time you flushed. The best thing about Bluebeards Castle is the Restaurants. Both Banana Tree Grille and Room With A View are some of the best in St Thomas! Highly recommend the Filet at Room... and the Tempura Lobster at Banana Tree Grille.

Great room for the money

Coming to St. Thomas on short notice and in the middle of high season this was a great room for the money as well as being convenient to the downtown waterfront area in which I needed to be. Room had a excellent view of the harbor as well as amenities such as refrigerator, coffee maker which added to the overall experience

Beautiful views, average comfort level hotel

This hotel is good for shopping in St. Thomas, because it has a good proximity to town (though it requires a 15 minute walk down a fairly steep hillside to get there, and the same walk up the hill to get back to the hotel). Taxis are an alternative. Given its hillside location, the views are really spectacular, and the restaurants on the property are decent, though pricey. The fitness room is not currently useable, but the pool is nice and again faces over the bay at Charlotte Amalie. I would recommend this hotel for individuals who enjoy relaxing by the pool and enjoying a beautiful view. Aesthetically it is very lovely though not a very comfortable hotel.

Great view, no complaints.

My stays here are always great except there is no wireless internet access. Not for people on buisness, great for vacations and get aways.

The hotel rooms on one side face the delivery entrance UGH!

The people at the front desk are mediocre at best. Their ability to problem solve is minimal. There is no Internet access. The entrance and exit pathways are nmot clear and often we got lost.

Beautiful location; rooms quite comfortable; staff was not available at early hour (6am) when they said they would be available to call a cab

Lost it's touch

Blue Beards seems to have at one time be one of the best places to stay on St Thomas island. But the hotel has not been kept up and the customer service is minimal to none. We were there for 5 nights and only received house cleaning one day out of the whole stay even after making several requests to the front desk. I would return to the island, but not this hotel.
