Awesome location ... close to everything. Beautiful balconies made it well worth the $$.

Great hotel-beds poor-thin walls

Other than the mattresses very, very, very soft & the walls extremely thin, the hotel is very nice, clean & charming. Balconies are worth the extra $.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. I would definately return to this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, but room needed work

We had a double-double room and found everything at the hotel great, except the carpet was absolutely gross -- walking barefoot in the room left our feet covered in filth! But, the courtyard/pool area is absolutely lovely, and the location is convenient without being loud at all.

hotel,location, decor, was great,,, except one of our rooms did not having air condition, even after they sent someone to fix it!! it got rather humid and very uncomfortable.

Great location, value

We'd seen reviews about the hotel, and we saw good notes with a few caveats. We found a fantastic location, adequate-size rooms and very comfortable amenities. We'd stay there again and recommend it. It is close to the street, but we heard more river boat noise than traffic -- and that's just flavor of New Orleans!

Bienville House

The Bienville House is a great hotel. The hotel is in walking distance from just about anywhere you want to go. The only complaint that I have is the price of parking. It starts out at twenty dollars a day, depending on the size of your vehicle. If you have a SUV it is more. They have a great continental breakfast that will hold you over until lunch. The staff was very friendly. I woill definately stay here next time I come to New Orleans.

Good Hotel, Great Location

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights while visiting New Orleans for a wedding. The hotel is small, but in a great location, being only a couple of blocks from Jackson Square. Despite saying room service, there is a restaurant attached that delivers menu items, so it isn't really room servuce. The staff were great though, especially DeWayne the bellman and parking garage attendant who couldn't have been better. The parking is limited to a few spaces under the hotel and your car will likely ended up at the sister hotel, The Monteleone, but it only costs $20 per day and in New Orleans, it is recommended to keep your car off public parking places. Overall, well worth the money for the location alone.

Outstanding Hotel

Great place to stay in the French Quarter. Conveniently located and within walking distance of most attractions. The staff were very friendly and the room was extremely comfortable.

Great hotel

A great hotel in a great location. Nice, clean, pretty rooms. The only thing that I didn't like was the plastic cover on the bed (underneath the sheets) that made me uncomfortable and hot during the night.
