Quirky and cool

This hotel faces a drive-in movie theater. I don't know whether there is common ownership or some other sort of arrangement between the hotel and the movie theater, but it was unusual and neat. Audio from the outdoor movie is piped into the rooms and controlled with a switch on the wall. The screen is a couple hundred yards away, so it's not much different than simply watching TV, but it is different in a good way. Great place to take kids, depending on what happens to be showing.

Cold stay

Room was freezing upon arrival---thought they could have preheated room. Heater did not quite heat room even though it was on high. Had to go to ofice to get extra blankets.

How cool is that?!

Ok so the bed felt like sleeping on a wooden block, but c'mon where else can you watch a new release movie from your room? The diner next door had great food for a great price. The only real downfall was the choice of movie "Hellboy II" - like there was a need for a sequel?- but the kids and I actually got in the car and watched the other movie on the other screen. We will remember this forever.

Fun

This is a fun hotel but the check in was more difficult then would have hoped for. We changed rooms 3 times due to issues with view of screen and TV not working, staff was accomodating but it was a pain. We stayed for 2 days when we returned to the hotel on the second day they had locked us out so we had to go to the office to get new keys. Watching the movie from out room was fun but other aspects were more difficult then it should have been. If you are planning to stay more than 1 night on the weekend you will see the same movie again.

A good room for the money

Just needed a one night stay for a weekend motorcycle ride and was intrigued by the drive-in theatre twist offered at this motel. The room was clean and tidy. Everything was well maintained - all plumbing fixtures and electrical appliances were in good working condition. The bed was very comfortable. So much so that I didn't make it very far into the movie. Also, since this property is about 2 miles outside of town it is very peaceful setting with little traffic noise. Check in and check out were handled promptly and efficiently by the staff and everyone I spoke with was very friendly and helpful.
