Needs improvement

traveling as single woman was given key to room upon checkin that was occupied by a man! Wakeup call came 1 hour early because their system "didn't know about daylight savings"!

OK room for the money

It did not appear that the room was vaccumed during our 4 day stay. Had a problem with the lelephone blinking all the time. One desk clerk tried to fix it and the second clerks answer was to unplug the phone. We did not care for the second answer since we needed the phone for contacting friends. The blinking red light was distrubing while we attempted to go to sleep.

Nice place for getaway weekend with kid

We met family for Labor Day. They loved having a pool right there. I loved having a frig and microwave in the room. It only took us 15-20 minutes to get to the beach, local parks, etc. There was a grocery, dollar store, and pharmacy within an easy drive. The cleaning staff were VERY cordial and welcoming. Breakfast was quite adequate with enough variety for everyone. Lobby was loaded with brochures of local attractions.

Needs Improvement

This was okay for the price and for a stopover but I wouldn't want to stay here for a longer period of time. Room was dark and dank. Okay for a quick overnight stay for the price but I wouldn't stay there for a longer period of time.

Pretty Good Hotel

I had trouble several times where my room key stopped working. I had to go to the front desk 7 times to get the key reset. Other than that the room was cheap but comfortable.

Overpriced

The hotel was overpriced for what we received, but we did just sleep there so we weren't expecting much.

Misleading Promotion

The rooms on the east side of the hotel smelled of mildew. It was advertised as having a fitness room and none existed. It is not in close proximity to the beach.

Guest did not leave a comment.

Great room for the money

The hotel was conveniently located near major highways so it was easy to get back and forth to Virginia Beach. There were several restaurants (fast food and otherwise) along the highway. I checked out early and neither the hotel nor hotels.com charged me a fee (even though hotels.com stated that one may be incurred). The staffpeople were polite and one was especially helpful with directions and another with printing Kings Dominion tickets. The microwave and refrigerator came in handy. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was fresh and clean. I greatly enjoyed my experience and I would definitely stay at Best Western again.

Very Good and a Little Bit Defect

Equipment and furnishings of room are excellent. Service is good. There is one remark: the shower curtain is old and has the engrained mud. My chambermade traid to clean that curtain,but without effect. It is necessary replace it. I recommend this hotel for stay.

Very Enjoyable Stay

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. My friends motorcycle broke down so we had no mode of transportation for a minute so I was happy that there were two convenience stores next door to the hotel and a GREAT restaurant down the street (recommended by a Best Western staff member)in addition to several fast food places. Having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was a plus too. My only complaint was that the room had a odor whenever the air conditioning kicked on. Although the room was a non-smoking room we strongly suspected that some folks broke that rule. Anyway, we let the staff know that the air filter likely needed to be changed. Overall, it was a great stay!

Great place

I loved my stay at this hotel. The rates were great and the location very convinient. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. I will be coming back here when I go back to Virginia.

The room was clean beds were very comfortable. Service was very good. Hotel was 15 miles from the beach this was expected and the ride to and from was quick. The only complaint I have is the out door pool could have been a little cleaner. I would stay here again
