Beautiful Lobby, Rooms Need Some TLC

We enjoyed our stay at the BW Gateway Grand. It was beautiful on the outside and the lobby was very pretty and clean. Staff was friendly and we were overall very happy with the place. The room, however, was very average. The bathroom smelled strongly of bleach, which was good to know it was clean, but bleach isn't exactly a pleasant smell. The light bulbs are all energy-efficient, which is appreciated, but the fluorescent lighting they create is not soft or easy on the eyes. It makes the room cold and dreary. I know these are nit-picky, but for the money, I would have hoped for a slightly nicer room. The overall hotel, however, is very nice.

Fair deal

I stayed here because I was attending a wedding reception that weekend. The location was good (for me). The room was adequate size- but the bathroom was small. I would have thought the accomodations would have been a little more plush for the money- but it wasn't bad for a hotel of this calibur. The staff was very nice and they do offer a nice breakfast. I'd probably stay there again in the future.

Great Hotel

I was very satisfied with the Hotel Overall. Our room was very clean as was the overall grounds. We needed a little later of a checkout and since the hotel was a little slow they had no problem with our request. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Hotel

Hotel staff was very friendly; the room was clean and comfortable. Also, the room service was very fast and the foot was hot and tasty. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

gets the job done

Room was clean, staff was pleasant/friendly, certainly not a fancy hotel, but a 3-star is about the best you can do in Gainesville. It was college graduation weekend, so the prices were seriously inflated. Regular prices are very reasonable. Free breakfast is not creative, but sufficient, and right price!

A Great Stay

Beautiful Mediterranean style hotel, with a beautiful lobby,Florida nature paintings, a player piano, and a large breakfast area! Our room was spacious, clean and affordable. Very enjoyable experience.

big price for a little room

the hotel just reminded me of a 50 or 60 $ hotel but the rooms were clean just small but it was a ok hotel
