Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 56Clean and comfy
This hotel is literally a 15 minute walk from the airport. There's a sidewalk all the way. Take a cab for $20 or walk !!! Charging an extra $1 per night for the "safe" seems punitive. The hotel is nice, the pool bar is fun and the restaurant is pretty good - not cheap, but good. Be careful if arriving on a late flight. The bar and restuarant both close at 10PM and there are not other options close by. We have used this as a stop off at the beginning or end of our vacations to the BVI and St.John several times now and will continue to do so.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 56great for the money
considering the price... pretty good deal. oceanfront room for the price of most US motels. literally next to the airport, so great for an early flight. not a bad bar and pool either.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 56Great Room for the Money!!
Great hotel - walking distance from the airport. Hotel bar & restaurant was great. we wanted a place to stay before heading to St. John and this was a really great hotel. There is not much within walking distance except for the airport but for an overnight stay or short weekend - this was a wonderful spot. The room was really clean and hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The beach is nice and right there - and you really can't tell that you're close to an airport -except for the occasional plane.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 56Blew Us Away!
My wife and I flew in for a three night get away. Our goal for the trip was to simply relax, no schedules, no agenda. The Best Western Emerald Beach was perfect for exactly that. Close to the airport (less than 1/2 mile, with sidewalk all the way) meant we wasted no time getting a drink in our hand and toes in the sand. The room was clean with fantastic views, the beach was clean, and more beautiful than we could have imagined. The staff was amazingly helpful and everything we needed for a short relaxing stay was on the resort property. The closest we came to actually doing anything other than relaxing was to rent snorkel gear from Lindsay at the Boutique and spend some time with the local aquatic wildlife. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 56Great value
Well maintained with updated bathroom and a great true ocean-front patio. It appears that all rooms are true ocean front with outstanding views of Lindbergh Bay and beyond. This impressed me the most. Beach is quite nice and great for swimming. Beachfront bar serves simple bar food and good (albeit a little spendy) cocktails most of the day. Didn't try out the full restaurant. A great value if you want to be right on the beach and close to the airport.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 56Excellent hotel for a short stay
The pool and the beach on the property were well suited for travelers who wanted only those amenities. Being so close to the airport is also an excellent benefit for a quick trip. Because the hotel is further from town, dining out and seeing the sites were inconvenient unless you have a car or are willing to pay a lot for taxi service. The value was excellent and this hotel makes for a nice short trip to enjoy the beach and pool. The restaurants were decent too.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 56Needs Improvement
This hotel has potential to be a good hotel. Our first room had a broken air conditioner. When we went back downstairs, they said they knew that and immediately gave us another room. I guess they thought they would find "someone" who enjoyed sleeping in an 86 degrees room. In our second room, the phone did not work, and we had only one towel with no wash cloths. We never did get a new phone. The rooms are big, nice, and all have ocean views. We did not know, though, that it is located right across from the airport. The only plus to this is getting to the airport was a cinch. Another downfall is that there are no elevators. Our first room was on the third floor. So, we carried all our bags up to our room only to find no air conditioning. We carried them back down again, moved to another building, and carried them back up the stairs again...all in 90 degree weather. We saw no bell boys.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 56great hotel
Hotel was very nice and beach was beautiful. All rooms are beach-front. We had an issue w/ ants in our room (common island problem in summer months) and they moved us to another room without issue. Restaurant was very good. Airport noise was not a problem. Actually liked this better than Marriott Frenchman's Reef Resort.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 56Great beach access
Unlike other hotels on St. Thomas, the beach is accessible without a long climb down several stairs and the view is scenic. There was a couple taking wedding pictures one evening of my stay. And there is good snorkling for children and adults.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 56Nice Hotel.
My wife and I stayed here on our first night on St. Thomas. It was a very nice hotel, very close to the airport. We arrived around 8:30pm, check in was very smooth. Dropped our bags in the room and went down to the restaurant. The food was good, and the atmosphere was great. We awoke to a wonderful view of the bay and went swimming in the AWESOME clear water. Would certainly stay here again. Don't try and walk from the airport in the dark, it is a little farther than you think.
