Great Room for the money

The room was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the sofa/seating area. It would be a great room to visit with friends. We especially enjoyed the friendly bar, as well as the breakfast the next morning. It was convenient to have the trolley pick us up. We would have liked to spend more nights there, and if we come again, this is where we'll stay.

Promised unmet

I called the hotel and was told that they had wireless internet throughout the hotel. However, when I got to my room, it did not work. In addition, the TV reception/picture was horrendous. It being a Saturday night, there were a lot of rooms available, and the guy on duty quickly switched me to another room. The new room was better in every way -- newly rennovated, great internet access and a better TV picture (though still not great). In the morning, I asked the person working the desk about the internet access and was told that it doesn't work at the ends of the hotel. So, if you stay here and want internet access, make sure your room is not near the ends. And the 3rd floor is MUCH nicer.

Needs Improvement

The color of the towels (2 out of 6) were yellow (with stains) instead of white. Bathtub is not clean as well. Shampoo and conditioner were half empty (seal were broken and used).

slow service

Check in was painfully slow, I had to return for a package that was waiting for me upon check in. Alarm didn't work.

good stay

it was a great hotel for the money - a short (0.5mi) walk took us to the metro which made it very easy to get into boston proper. There was a small pool, which looked really clean, but we didn't get a chance to use - and the hotel is right off easy to get to from the highway. The beds are a little uncomfortable - but the room was clean and the staff was nice.

Not bad but not great

First of all,if you are driving it is difficult to find. The hotel needs to do do some remodelling of their rooms. The bed and furnishings were very old and the whole room and even outside the room smelled a little stale. With some work, it could be a great hotel. My other issue was I had to go to the post office which was exactly 1 mile away. I asked the front desk if there was anything they could do and they said no. So I started to walk. Next thing I saw the shuttle driver drive past me to bring people to the train station which was not too far from the post office. Since he was going that way, the front desk should have offered that service to me.
