Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 4Great for the kids
While this isn't a 4 star hotel, it had some amenities that were wonderful! The pool for the kids was great. The staff was overly accomodating. They even lent us towels for the beach - all we did was ask. There is laundry facilities on-site. While the hotel is off of the beaten path, all of the tours arranged to pick up & drop off here. There's a McDonalds just a few hundred feet away & a GREAT fish restaurant in a shopping plaza also within walking distance. Our only real complaint was that the mattress in our room needed to be replaced as it was officially past its prime. ALL of the other amenities more than made up for it & the price couldn't be beat. THANKS for making us feel so welcome!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 4Fair room for the money -- a little too expensive.
The hotel has a great swimming poor that is nicely decorated and a good restaurant for dinner and buffet for breakfast. The rooms are far from fancy, but are acceptable. The location is poor as it is a long way to the downtown section and is on a busy highway, but is very close to the city bus stop, and a small grocery store.

For the price of the cab to the hotel, I could have found a slightly more expensive hotel closer to the city; I got in around midnight. However, I did use the bus to travel back and forth; if I had stayed in town late, I would have needed a cab. Otherwise, the hotel was acceptable. The person who checked me in (I later found out was the manager) was very unpleasant and initially was not going to let me in the hotel, even though the sign said 24 hour checkin. The rest of the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The service was excellent- the staff does whatever it takes to make people comfortable. Rooms are not at all fancy, but certainly comfortable. Beautiful pool area. Not really central to sites, but most tours pick up at hotel.
