Description
See more detailsLocation. Set on a wooded valley on the banks of Sharpe's Creek is a 19th century hamlet, the Benmiller Inn & Spa of Goderich, Ontario, Canada. Fly fishing is popular along the adjacent Maitland River, where steelhead, salmon and smallmouth bass live. The Huron Marine Museum and Sunset Golf Course are close to the inn.
Hotel Features. English gardens and the bubbling waters of Sharpe's Creek provide elegant landscaping throughout the property. The Ivey Room provides regional cuisine, a solarium and a patio for al fresco dining during the summer months. A popular Sunday brunch at the Ivey Room includes international cheeses, carving stations and a variety of desserts. Indoor activities include a heated pool, sauna and spa tub. Billiards are available. On-site outdoor recreation includes hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing, tennis and snow shoeing. An Aveda spa is located in the inn's Rivermill building. The spa offers body wraps, salt scrubs, custom facials, massage and reflexology treatments.
Guestrooms. Beds are dressed in premium linens with pillowtop mattresses. Select rooms offer fireplaces, saunas or jetted tubs.
Expert Tip. Themed guestrooms are scattered around the property in historic buildings, including a turn-of-the-century home, an original frame village residence and a wool mill. The Woollen Mill, a cast-lime mill, produced the blankets that made the Benmiller name famous.
