Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 451GREAT for New York!!
Wonderful hotel for New York standards. If you've never been to NYC, listen very closely: hotel rooms in ANY hotel are small. Therefore, don't pay much attention to the other reviews complaining about space. The size is typical for NYC. Great location right next to a Metro stop and close to Central Park. Close bakeries, coffee shops, and shopping. Nice, safe, neighborhood. Can't wait to stay there again!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 451Worked well for a short stay in a clean small room
Didn't spend much time in room so very small size didn't matter to me. Nice hotel, I would stay again if I could again get a very reasonable rate.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 451Room was too small
I was prepared about the room being small. But I had expected at least a writing desk and a chair. I hoped to do some work on my laptop. Working while siting on the bed without good backsupport is not exactly comfortable. People coming back late and talking while walking in corridor was disturbing. Room is good if you have no laggage at all.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 451Nice hotel, tiny rooms.
As others have mentioned, this is a nice hotel in a nice part of town and all, but the rooms are incredibly small. You can barely walk around the bed. But I'm not really complaining, just warning others who might have different expectations.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 451Small but great room for the money
Our room was attractive, spotless, reasonably priced, and in a great location for our needs. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a tiny room

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 451Outstanding Hotel
This was a good hotel for the price. The location was good (close to subway and a starbucks). The neighborhood had ample free parking (as long as you remember to move your car for street cleaning days). The room was small but very clean and had a TV and a bathroom, the room was cleaned every day very quickly. The staff was friendly. They had a business center with computer and printer which was great b/c I needed to print out some tickets I left at home. Great hotel, would stay there again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 451Did the trick
The room was very small but so are all New York hotels. I would stay here again for the price of being in Manhattan.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 451Recently totally redone
At first we were a bit leary after reading some of the reviews. However, we found that the hotel had been totally gutted and redone about six months ago and it showed. All the bathroom fixtures, bed, decorations, wood floors, electrial system were new. The hotel was only a block from the subway and very quiet. The size of the room was tiny even by New York standards. We had a double bed, one small bedside table, 2 bedside wall lights and that was it. The closet and bath were also tiny, but it was immaculate.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 451Small rooms but worth the price
The room is tiny, but is spotless and comfortable. My only complaint was that the hotel is overheated, leading the room to be uncomfortably hot at night. The hotel is 2 blocks from Central Park and within a block from the subway entrance. It is in a quaint residential neighborhood, with good restaurants and stores within walking distance. If you don't mind a tiny room and a full size bed, this is worth the price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 451smallest room ever !!
the hotel was in a great location and it was clean and all but the room was the size of a closet--no joke. It was maybe 12 by 12, there was one foot between the wall and the bed on one side and maybe 2 feet on the other with 3 feet rounding out the sides. All the room had in it was a bed, a small table, and a flat screen tv on wall that didn't even get the most basic cable channels ( CNN,TNT etc.. ). If all you do here is come in and sleep, shower and leave then it's very nice.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 451come on, at least put a clock in the room.
Talk about bare bones. Last time I asked for an iron, but didn't get an ironing board. This time there wasn't even a clock in the room. The bed was uncomfortable and squeeked when you sat on it. They need to pay a little more attention to the business traveler.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 451If you don't mind cozy
I read that the rooms were small so I was expecting it. But they are really small compared to what most American travelers are used to. I shared a room with my wife so it was a little tighter than if I were alone but we managed. The room and facility are very clean and in good shape. If you don;t need to spend a lot of time in your room, this is a great alternative. Loved the upper west side stay - nice neighborhood and plenty of places to shop and eat.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 451Clean, but lacking
Clean rooms, great shower, but no iron or other amenities in the room. When I did request an iron, they delivered it to my room but said they did not have any ironing boards. Rooms were very small, not enough room for two people.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 451Great location
Belnord Hotel is in a very convenient and quiet location on the upper west side. Room and bathroom are very small but adequate for a single person. So easy to walk to the subway, Central Park, Riverside Park and any number of bars, cafes and shops.
