Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 17Outstanding Hotel
This was a former Hampton Inn. The room was nice, quiet and had a better than expected continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful & friendly. A nor'easter battered the area during our stay, but we had a great stay in a convenient location -could even make left turns out of the parking lot - unusyual & rare for New Jersey!

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 17TV
I know it isn't nothing major but when we got at the motel I told the clerk at the desk that the TV was fuzzy and had bad reception. He said he thought it was a cable company problem and said he would call someone. No one ever got back with us and the problem was never taken care of. It isn't asking to much to have a TV that actually works is it? Other than that the stay was ok. Also note the walls were thin and we could hear the other people in the room besides us.

Staff is very friendly and remembered us from last year. It was a Hampton Inn than but the same desk staff was there and they remembered us. It is nice when they do. Makes you feel special.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 17Pleasantly surprised
The hotel was 15-20 minutes from Atlantic City and there was a shuttle to the Casinos. Rooms had mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast buffet from 6am-10am and coffee is available 24 hours a day. There is wind surfing offered, in the back of the hotel, on the bay. The neighborhood was a little sketchy at night (across from hourly hotels) but , we felt safe. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 17Rude Staff & Bad Customer Service
The Hampton Inn is in a very nice location and the rooms are very nice. The breakfast is more then I would have expected. A person would think this would be a great place to stay but we happened to stay on the night of a storm. Our room was on the 6th floor and the corner of our room leaked. It leaked so much so water poured down our cabinet. We called and asked to be moved to another room. The room they gave us was directly under our first room on the Fifth floor. The hotel employee met me on the fifth floor to exchange keys. I found a luggage cart and we loaded up our stuff to move floors. When we arrived to our new room on the fifth floor, we noticed water pouring from our window onto the air conditioner. We called downstairs again and the same man came to look at the room. He turned off the air conditioner and moved us down the hall. The whole incident would have been a minor inconvenience but what put us over the top was the fact that we walked ahead of us, not attempting to assist us with the luggage cart and didn't even hold the door for us for the third room. When we tried to explain our situation in the morning, they only discounted our room, despite a sign on the counter that read "100% guarantee, if you're not satisfied we don't expect you to pay". We were very upset that no one tried to apologize for the inconvenience and that no employee had the shear curtsey to help two women with a door or baggage. In the morning, they didn't care to hear of our story of the night prior. We did, however, meet one employee out of everyone we encountered that was polite and kind. He was maintenance man, Mike. He was the nicest part of our stay. I would hope the management of the hotel would know that they only have one employee on staff that has manners.

The lot is too small. We went to a show at Harrah's and came back at 1:00am and the lot was so full that we had to park around back. Since there is available land next door, I feel they need to enlarge the lot.

The staff was very friendly a curteous. The hotel halls and room were very very well kept. With all the clients they had staying there, there was no noise. It was convient to the convention center and the downtown Atlantic City area. The contentiental breakfast surpassed all expectations that I had. I would highly recommend this hotel.
