disgusting

Run, run away fast from this place. I'm not going to itemize here, just hit the low points. It's next to a strip club. Yes, a strip club. That is the good. Once inside the room it was clear we had been had. Nothing smelled or looked like it had been cleaned. The human dander in the room and bathroom was obviously a collection from several of the previous guests. The paint was peeling and cracked and the carpet was sticky in places. Bare feet not an option here. Did I mention disgusting? When rereading some of the positive reviews I can't help but think that they must work for the hotel or something, because I will not risk booking a Baymont online, sight unseen again. I've learned my lesson. Two stars is a VERY broad classification and this might certainly be a bottom point. It is nothing like any of the Baymont hotels that I have stayed at in the past.If there is any franchise association with this brand, they should close the doors, completely remodel,hire new staff and management,and build a giant wall with a nice mural on it to hide the strip joint from view. Then, maybe... Do not bring loved ones near this place. Their innocence is at risk.

Hotel needs remodel

The price of the hotel was good for a one night stay. The hotel needs a serious remodel, you can hardly turn around in the bathroom, the vanity is not big enough for 2 people to share. The breakfast bar was not what I thought it would be.

I will stay here again.

Service at front desk was outstanding! Room was very nice. Comfortable bed and chair. TV had HBO. Shower had great water pressure but was a very high step to get in and out. For the money I can't complain. I will stay here again next time I need a room in the area.

You get what you pay for

This hotel was the worse hotel that I have stayed in. The iron was so nasty on the bottom - tried to wash it would not come off and was afraid to use it on clothes was afraid it would leave stains. Most of the plug ins did not work. The carpet was nasty. The bathroom area had green and white tile and the very first time that we walked in, you could see dirt all over the white tile.

Great for the cost and location in the medical center area.

Very clean and comfortable for the price.

Clean room, good help, good breakfast - you really can't ask for more for the price.

Good - but not for those with cleanliness OCD

We were satisfied with the hotel overall. The pool itself was clean, however, the deck area needed a good scrubbing. The location was perfect for us - we were attending a Lackland AFB BMT graduation. We felt safe, we saw security walking around. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was consistantly good every day. On the second night of our stay, we found a crayon on the floor that was not ours. On the first night, there were some hairs in the bathroom. We had two rooms and one night one of our rooms did not have the beds made up. It didn't appear that wiping down of the bathroom/sink area occurred at all. This wasn't a big deal to us, but if you are a compulsive cleaner, you might try somewhere else. Good hotel for the $$$. Would stay again.

Pleasantly surprised

From previous reviews I expected a dump, but it was actually a very nice hotel. nothing fancy, of course, but clean, well maintained, and in a safe location (well lit, by 24 hr diner). the shower was tiny, and very high off the ground so it was tricky getting in and out, but other than that the room was spacious and comfortable, and about a 2 minute drive from The Industry (where we were going to see a concert). could not have picked a better place to stay!

Good Place to Stay in San Antonio

Overall, this was the second best hotel we have stayed at in San Antonio out of 7 hotels. The price was great, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the location was ok. The only problem we had was the AC condensated in the room a bit and the ice machine on the first floor didn't work.

needs inprovement

when we checked in the staff was friendly, but when we got to our room, it was dirty, not vacumed, and the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was a housekeeper a couple of rooms down, so asked her if she could touch up the room. She said it was not her section, but would be right there, but that she was trying to get home. She did come clean it, and they did clean it the rest of our stay. The comlimentary breakfast is not much to speak of. The juice machine out of order. They have toaster waffles and ceral. Good thing there was a Denny's in the parking lot, can get a breakfast there. It is an older hotel, could use a little sprucing up.if your looking for an inexpensive room and not expecting alot this is the place for you.

Location a little confusing.

We have very little problem getting to the hotel coming from Dallas, but got so messed up after our day at Sea World that we ended up downtown San Antonio, due to the confusion of getting from 151 to 410 to I10 where the hotel is located. We enjoyed our stay very much, people were great. Service exceeded expectation. Thanks for the weekend stay!
