Hard to find

Theb hotels' illuminated sign was out, so drove by it 2 times. I am unfamiliar with Houston, so I got lost and had to call the hotel.

OK for the money but bad neighborhood

The room was quite OK but a bit unclean and smelly. AC noisy as hell. Most worrying thing was that both the deadbolt and the U-lock on the door were broken with signs of forced entry. Staff was "unaware" of broken locks but promised to fix them. Oh yeah, this is no hotel but motel.

mixed stay

I was on a business trip with 2 colleagues, and we pre-booked three non-smoking rooms, but ended up with only one of rooms we requested--the other room reeked of smoke and the third room was very musty-smelling (perhaps as a result of the recent hurricanes there). The free breakfast was adequate, and we found the staff friendly and accommodating. The entrance is a little tricky to find and I'm not sure about the surrounding neighborhood, but overall, I thought we received a fair deal for the price we paid.

Acceptable

In spite of the fact that there was not many people staying at the hotel they stil felt the need to put my in the room facing the parking lot farthest away from everything. You get what you pay for, would stay again only if I had to.

5 NITE STAY

Everything in the room felt damp. The celling in the bedroom started to peel and fall. The bathroom had mold in places.No insert for the toilet paper.Coffee pot would not shut off. Had to pull the plug. Had to walk over to the other building for ice.No lights on the signs. It is next door to a factory. Semis parked in the driveway day and nite. Hotel is set back off the road behind a resteraunt, and is hard to see.

Nice Staff

Room was OK It was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. we had a large group and they were very accomidating.

July 2009 Vacation

this was great. The staff was great. It was very quiet, the pool was nice, the breakfast had a great variety. We stayed an extra night in Galveston at another hotel, and the price was double, the room and pool were gross, and the breakfast was toast and cereal. I would definately stay at the Baymont again. It was great, we werent bothered, and they executed every request that we made very quickly.
