dirty with bugs

dirty floors, mildew on bathroom walls, stained carpet. had to keep food in sealed containers or in refrigerator because of little bugs throughout apartment. appreciated free airport transportation. food at restaurant good. pleasant staff.

reasonable place

A decent hotel with friendly staff. Doesn't quite look as good as the picture. No carpet floors, just tile. The pool seemed to be shut down early in the evening so i never got to use it. Nice AC unit in the room. Annoyances: no counter space in the bathroom... everything ends up on the floor. Also, small tiny little ants all over the room... walls, floors... but apparently lots of hotels have this issue in this area. You cant tell on the map, but its quite far from the downtown area of Cairns. But its good in that if you have a car, there is plenty of parking, and it doesn't get loud with people late at night... However, because there was a courtyard wit tables, there were people who hung out late into the night (4am) talking and drinking. I was a bit surprised as these were people in the 40 - 60 year range. I didnt expect this as the main manager guy locked the front doors at 11pm ( you have a code to get in from the side)

Older Hotel but Great for the Money

This was an older hotel - been there for awhile, but it was well maintained. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Great location - and price incuded a complimentary breakfast.

good value

The staff was extremely helpful in making reservations for dinner and activities. It is a nice walk (1 block) to the beach, but this is not a swimming beach, so we only stayed 1 night. Good location if staying in Cairns.
