Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 11Very Comfortable Hotel
I felt very comfortable at the Bavarian Manor. Its old-world atmosphere, combined with warm interior furnishings in the common areas, make this a wonderful place for fall and winter getaways. The wraparound porch and comfortable chairs outside make it a nice place to sit and talk outside in the coll mornings and evenings of summer. The hotel personnel were nice and very accommodating.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 11Great Hideaway with first class breakfast
Lovely old Inn with the nicest owners and staff. Helpful, gracious, easy and relaxing. The best full menu breakfast included. The Inn itself is old but charming with old pictures and documents outlining it's history.Bathroom old but serviceable. Comfortable beds and rooms very clean. I highly recommend for those looking for a great alternative to the standard hotel fare.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 11Great B&B
The Bavarian Manor was a great "little" (there were probably ~25 rooms) bed & breakfast to retreat to during our four-day music festival. I'll skip right to the chase and tell you that the complimentary breakfast is reason enough to book your stay there. Delicious fresh fruit, moist cakes/pastries, and the best sausage links I've had at any restaurant/diner. All that and you've still got your choice of french toast (with a hint of cinnamon), a huge omelette, or eggs cooked to order. The service is a little slow, but the staff is very friendly and receptive. The only downside of the place is the tap water, which smells of sulfur and tastes awful. We loaded up our water bottles at the festival and brought them back to the room so we'd have something palatable to drink. I guess this particular water issue is not uncommon in the area, but it was strange to us. Luckily, the stink doesn't travel with you after taking a shower. :)

If you have a chance, eat dinner on site. The food and service were outstanding!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 11Cozy hotel
was a very homely feeling; not the most sophisticated place. Go if you want a liad back place to relax. The T.V. in the room basically sums up the place, a 9in tube t.v. with a complete cable package.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 11Not worth the money and should be avoided at all costs
After a lovely ride up to Purling to embark on a weekend away from the motion and pace of Manhattan, we arrived at the Bavarian Manor Country Inn. The inn looked quaint and comfortable and we were greeted by a friendly dog and the family who runs the lodge. However, all this warm hospitality was erased after stepping foot in our tiny, cold room, which was not safe for a Claustrophobic. This was not what we signed up for. As we made our way to the bathroom, the first thing we noticed, after the floor sunk down a bit and seemed to shift, was the most poorly designed sink man has ever created. Hot and cold were on separate spouts and you had to hold each one down for water to appear. Letting go of either would cause the water to immediately stop flowing, making it nearly impossible to wash your face or hands. This might not be so bad if you could fill the sink, but the stopper was too small for the drain. Let's move on to the makeshift shower that more closely resembled a small tin can laced with stains more colorful than the autumn leaves we came to see. Standing in the shower was not only extremely tight, but once again the floor (or whatever it was) would sink and pop like the top of Snapple bottle. Needless to say I avoided that experience altogether. Also, locking the door is futile, it will just open. Since the room was quite cold we turned on the heat to find that it wasn't working; or so we thought. This heater was all or nothing 100 degrees or 0 degrees, and finding warmth by laying in the bed produced creeks and noises that could be heard on the other side of the inn. In fact the bed was so rickety, my girlfriend was awoken several times during the night from the tiniest shift in position. If it wasn't the noisy bed keeping us up, it was laundry room right next door, which was running at 12:00AM or the sound of people walking in the hallway bleeding through the paper-thin walls. I think random bugs that appeared in the room had a much better time than us, as

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 11charming inn
reminded us of the scenery from "Dirty Dancing" movie. Many modern conveniences, far from larger towns, be prepared for short 1/2 to 1 hour drive to larger tourist areas. The inn itself has a wonderful restaurant.
