Great place for peace and quiet

This is a small hotel 2 blocks from the beach. It's clean and quiet. The room is about the size of an average bedroom- bed, dresser, chair, tv, small fridge. Unless you plan to spend a lot of time there, it is fine. The surrounding area is quiet, there are stores and restaurants within a few blocks. BUT if you are looking for the South Beach nightlife this may not be the place for you. It's a 15 minute bus ride away; $20 cab ride- not bad but inconvenient. Bus runs right by the hotel.

Needs Improvement.

For the price paid, I was very disappointed with the small size of the room. Two larger rooms which seemed totally unoccupied were stated by the proprietor to be occupied when asked. I did not believe her. The hotel seems not to have a heating system as it was freezing cold for the duration of my two-night stay. Miami at the time was experiencing a cold spell.All in all, my stay was memorable in that I felt that I was being discriminated against by not being offered a better room upon request, even thoiugh I was quite willing to pay any extra charges which might be levied.
