Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 243Excellent location; great staff
Stayed overnight to "decompress" after a cruise with my husband and 8 year old son. Excellent location...walking distance to numerous restaurants and a stop on the intracoastal water taxi (a treat to ride and gawk at the mansions!). Very helpful staff at the front desk, and pool facility. Easy access to a lovely beach, and very reasonably priced market/deli next to the hotel with quite good coffee/snacks/sandwich/salads. Only negative was one of our double beds was pretty lopsided and seemed to tilt to one side. Lovely view out overlooking partial beach, and the marina.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 243Never again
Have stayed in less expensive hotels that were alot better. Nothing what I expected, a lot less in fact. The topper was the only place to park was valet, very expensive. My car went in clean and the next morning when we left it was very dirty.

This is an outstanding hotel, and is located in the center of everything that you go to Ft. Lauderdale to see and do.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 243Great room for the money
Me and my sister stayed here 4 nights we loved it. Room was nice we had a great view of the beach. There was a cute Cafe downstairs we had access to computers. Shopping and restaurants were withing walking distance of the hotel. Beach was across the street from the hotel. Only thing i didnt like was having to pay for parking.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 243Parking is a problem
The hotel was very nice and in a great location. There is valet parking only, so get ready to pay for that.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 243Very torn about this place...pretty buy ICKY
Ill make this quick...checked in and was told we were getting an "upgrade" to the marina view with a full blacony. I thought great! Got into the building and it was okay...until we got in the elevator which needed a cleaning. Got into our room...and it looked very nice. Great view, and comfy bed. Looked around and noticed stains on the ceiling...and a leak in the bathroom. The bathroom door was broken, and I was going to call and ask for a new room but decided to stay because we checked in late and had a 8am flight. SO...we opened a drawer to see if there was a phone book an dfound a candy wrapper, a "pediegg" with dry skin all over it, a pony tail holder, and a condom wrapper. Jumped into the shower to find a ring of dirt in the tub and EVERY TOWEL WAS DIRTY! I called down and they said new towle swere on the way...but never came. This hotel was super cheap for the area and in a great location. I am assuming the room would have been nice and no complaints if it werent for the dirt. Moral of the story was i SHOULD have complained and asked for a new room...but listened to my husband and stayed. Would I try this hotel again...nope. Left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 243Nice Room and Great Location
The location was great and access to the beach was easily accessible. The carpet was a little worn, but ok. My only complaint is that the hotel advertised rooms with a balcony and view. The view was marvelous, however, the balcony was about a 24 inch wide walk way. Considering the price and location, I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 243Bahia Mar
Carpet in room had spots. The bathroom pocket door was broken. Stayed for 7 days and we would have had to change rooms to a downgrade if we wanted it fixed so we delt with it for a week. Parking was expensive. Had to pay for wireless. Their computers were broken or very slow. Asked for pool towels a couple times and we never received them. Not horrible if you get it for a good price. Good location. Nice view.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 243Not what it used to be...
I've stayed at the Bahia Mar several times throughout the years and enjoyed it, but it had been awhile and this time it just was not the same. With the lower prices comes a decrease in customer service and a decrease in the overall hotel condition and appearance. The pool used to be the biggest feature - now there is VERY LITTLE service there and many of the chairs were broken. NO ONE comes around to ask if you need anything or to even check on the pool area or to clean-up, it was chaotic and in disarray during our stay. Towels were hard to come by and when they did have them them were not dry. We booked a Marina view and were given instead what they called an 'upgrade' to the main building, which was a view of the side of the building and two full beds (I was staying with my husband), so we waited 3 hours and were finally moved to the marina building (what we had originally booked!), with a balcony, which was better. The best feature of the hotel is the on-site food store and the proximity to the beach. If you can afford the Westin Beach Resort and you like it quieter, better service and less clutter, than stay at the Westin down the street - it's MUCH better!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 243Excellent location.
The hotel experience was much better than expected, when I booked I read some of te reviews and hoped people were right about it, based on the price I paid and compared to hotels around the area I wasn't sure the quality was going to be all that. I was very happy with the hotel, HIGHLIGHTS: location, dinning at restaurant was priced right and the food was delightful, the pool area sets on the second floor of an adjacent building that houses the gym and fitness area, nice pool bar/restaurant. Walking distance to fine dinning and shopping. The hotel has great ocean front views, there is a highway that separates the beach and hotel but there is a walking bridge exclusive to hotel guest that connects beach, pool are and hotel's second floor. I will stay at this hotel again, I recomend it.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 243Good but not great
Furniture was a bit old and worn and there was not much of it in the room. Pool area is great. Best food is in the deli. Parking at $18 per day is way off base and undisclosed until you get there.
