It could be a nice hotel...if the rooms were complitly redone. Nice lobby and very nice staff

Great deal, great location but...

Service and personnel were excellent and helpful, even when they were dealing with the rudest of customers as I witnessed on one occasion. We arrived a good 2 hours before checking-in time, still our room was upgraded to ocean view. It was big, clean, and included a kitchenette. Now, it is also obvious that the building itself is decades old and needs some improvement, the bathroom for instance. The complementary breakfast was very much lacking (no hot items, stale bakery) and after two days we just decided to eat elsewhere. We did not find the happy-hour family friendly, but after one day we simply took off anyway. Overall we had a positive experience and the rate matched our vacation budget.

If You Like This Hotel Read THIS 1st

We booked on hotels.com b/c the price was amazing and the reviews were outstanding. Having read the reviews 2 weeks prior to our reservation I came into the hotel with a keen eye and very high expectations. 1.) The hotels foyer did indeed have a musty smell. If you were to sit in the foyer then the smell would be unbearable, however if you were just walking in and out then it wasn’t that bad. 2.) The rooms looked exactly like the pictures. I personally wouldn’t have even considered the Bahama House b/c the sheets and décor was so horrible but it did go with the overall theme of the hotel and I can’t change that. The beds were comfortable but the actual comforter was almost as thin as the sheets!! They have 2 extra blankets in the closet and they were used every night. 3.) The A/C works wonderfully. No waiting, you either get instant cold or instant hot. 4.) The television is a old model as well as the remote & the channels were limited, but who cares? You are there for the beach & free happy hour. 5.) The bathroom is spacious and the shower puts you in mind of a high school locker room shower. I’m not sure if there are rooms with a bathtub but if you have small children then this is definitely something you should call the hotel directly about. 6.) The bathroom door wouldn’t lock and was hard to close. It was only two of us but privacy is important. 7.) We got a Efficiency Ocean-View room and was unaware that that meant partial view. The rooms are put in a slant and you could only see the ocean if you sat/stood in the far right hand side. 8.) My boyfriend loved the free happy hour! Since I am under aged I can’t tell you how the drinks tasted but there was always a long line. They also had fresh popcorn popped and regular canned sodas for the kids. 9.) The breakfast was plain. Nothing amazing and a lot of limits. Not too much variety for a 4 day stay. 10.) The staff was nice-ish. Our housekeeper Miss Mary was phenomenal and down to earth. She was very understanding,

Good Deal

The room was very comfortable and the staff was super. Everyone was very helpful and cordial. We weren't too impressed with the continental breakfast, but it was okay.

Wonderful Hotel. Would stay again.

This hotel was an excellent choice for us. We made our reservations at good rate, and to our surprise when we got there we had a full kitchen minus a dishwasher. The beach location is perfect, not crowded at all. The only downfall I would say about this hotel is that the elevators are extremely slow, but other than that perfect.

Very Nice Place

very nice place. Enjoyed the afternoon cocktail hour,however, the bartender could have been nicer. I'm sure she is getting paid for her services and is being tipped. The maid service was prompt on anything we needed. I will definitely stay there again.

Perfect For My Family Mini Vacation

My Kids and I really enjoyed ourselves at the hotel. With school closely approaching we decided to hit the beach. The staff were more than helpful and great customer service. They offer a nice little happy hour, not to be mistaken for a bar. Very much a family orientated hotel. The only thing they need more of are parking spaces and chairs pool side. One night the hotel seemed to be packed, no parking in garage or top parking lot. The same went for the chairs by the pool.

Bahama House

Great Room for Money We really enjoyed our stay at the Bahama House. The hallways had a musky smell but for the price we were ok. Happy Hour and The Pool was over-run by the guests staying at the hotel. The quality of guests were below our standards! However this is not a hotel problem but a people problem. Others would get 2-3 drinks at Happy Hour and 2-3 cookies. You name it and they abused it. We are beach people so the pool problem did not bother us. The guests at the time were just too much to share with. WE would like to try this place again and see if it would not be great with a better guests. It's a nice and clean place and the staff is too nice!

Grat room for the money!!

My family and I really enjoyed this place!! We will be back next summer!

Great Hotel!

We would definitely stay here again! The price is wonderful and the staff is the friendliest I've ever encountered!
