Expert Tip. The bustling Djemaa el Fna, three kilometres from the hotel in the medina, is Marrakech's main square and features a market, food stalls and entertainers. Situated at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, the Menara Gardens are one kilometre away, and the French colonial Majorelle Botanical Gardens are four kilometres from the hotel. Getting there.Bus 11 runs to centre of Marrakech every half an hour, although services can be unpredictable. There are taxi phones in the arrival and departure lounges and taxis can be caught near the bus stop. It is recommended to agree the price before commencing the journey. The smoothest way to travel around Marrakech is in one of the fleet of beige-coloured 'petits taxis' for short trips, or for adventures trips further afield, the 'grands taxis', generally battered beige-coloured Mercedes.
