Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 21Not happy
First, the hotel is in a very bad neighborhood, second, the hotel is right across the street from the train, so if your in a front room of the hotel, don't plan in sleeping. 3rd, wireless access is bad, does not cover the 3rd floor. No internet in our room at all. Ok, the good things, room very clean, bathroom, nice. This hotel in fairly new. 2 blocks from the A Train.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 21Would never stay there again.
Atlantic Inn is located exactly next to the Long Island RailRoad route, so it's impossible to sleep there. At first, our room looked out to the LIRR, and every time a train passed, it felt like a tornado was approaching. We asked to change the room for the next nights, but even though the windows looked out on the opposite side, we could still hear the LIRR noise pretty clearly. Also, the room was not very clean when we moved in. The location around the hotel is quite scary, the subway is about a 10-minute walk away, but the surroundings do not look very safe. I would never stay there again.

Location: -It look like a bad area to me. We had a alarm one morning at 8h am maybe 5-6 police car and 2 ambulances where there. One of the hotel client have been arrested in front of us... -You have a train in front of your window. It makes a lot of noise. -Distance from Manhattan is good but a taxi would be very expensive. Metro line A will get you to Manhattan in around 20-30min. -Nothing interresting is close surrounding. Cleanliness: -The hotel is clean and the rooms are also clean. -They did not clean our rooms ather the first night. The guy at reception told me you need to ask to clean the room when you leave the hotel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 21Very Scary -- Avoid
Little did we know this hotel is in one of the worst areas in the country, let alone New York. You have to walk three blocks of ghettoness before you get to the hotel. (And we live in DC, so we're much more immune to the urban-vibe than others.) There is an above ground subway right in front of the hotel that wakes you up every 30 minutes at night. This is the worst hotel ever, please spend $20 more and save yourself the trouble.

I would not suggest any person stay at this hotel unless they work the night shift on an hourly basis. Then one would feel comfortable there.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 21Shady
The staff was not around nor were they helpful with questions or when something was needed or wrong in the room. Not to mention the room was not cleaned everyday.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 21"Would Stay Again"
Two block walk to the A Train provided easy access when not using our truck. The gentelman at the desk was very helpful with any questions we had; even provided directions to our next destination which was two states away. Room was small but the king size bed was comfortable and the plasma TV a nice touch.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 21For adults only
First off the BIG SIGN says Atlantic Motors. They will tell you its 2 Persons per room MAX. Hotel also allows hourly rates. Minimum age is 21. Long Island Railroad is right in front of hotel so try to get a room in the back. Not much of anything close by. However you can order delivery from a number of places. Bring Air Freshener, the place smells like cleaning agents. No Ice machine on site, Bring your own ice. No Delis close by so gather your little necessities before you get there. Planning on staying on Friday - Monday? then Book early.

Three stars is misleading when the heighborhood is unsafe to walk in and the noise from the elevated train across the street rumbles through the room at regular intervals.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 21Adequate for a brief stop over
This hotel was built relatively recently so the physical plant is in good condition, and the room was clean. It's located on a busy street with an elevated commuter train so noise level is higher than the already noisy New York City. It's close to the subway. My room was poorly planned with no closet space. I was provided with 2 bath towels (no hand towels or face towels). Only one opportunity for maid services is provided because they are short on staff.
