Good value, but very basic

The big thing this hotel has going for it is its cost. The hard tile floor throughout the room make it far from cozy, and many rooms simply view other buildings in the complex. Parking can also become full quickly requiring parking at the nearby shopping center. The service staff was nice and the room was well maintained.

Nice place on the beach

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location is great, room is comfy and staff was all really nice.

Ocean, swim pool, shopping view

All in walking distance, the Aston Islander offers these great quality ammendaties! The room itself serves the purpose of "staying in" if you don't feel like "going out". The rooms are very quiet due to the construction of the walls. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a reasonable rate hotel.

great room for the money

This hotel was a great deal! Our only complaint was that we booked a "partial ocean view" room that wasn't any closer to the ocean and didn't have a better view than the garden rooms that cost less. These are actually condos that are for sale, but are treated like hotel rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. It had a great location and is located right next to the Coconut Marketplace (great food and shopping). We will stay here again.

Great view for the money.......

We had an ocean-front room and the view was outstanding, especially for the price. Some work may need to be done on the room we we in, such as new paint, and furniture. The biggest negative was the parking situation. Parking space was very limited and you could get towed if you parked in the wrong areas. We had to park pretty far away from the hotel if we came back after 8p.m. Overall this was a great value and we would stay again if we come back to Kauai.

I loved everything about my stay. Great room, pool, location etc. Eat at Trees Lounge next door (great food and live music).

Great beachfront value

Happy with everything, except that the room was a bit small for our family of 4.

Slight room for improvement

Quiet, nice grounds. The only negative comment we had was there was only queen size beds available and it wasn't as comfortable as we hoped. Otherwise, it was a good value for the price compared to others in the area.

Awesome value and location

If you are looking for a newly updated room at a reasonable price with an unbeatable view - this place should be at the top of the list. Fantastic laid back atmosphere and great drinks and company at The Sandbar. If you like to vacation in calm and mix with the local crowd this is the place to do it!

A nice getaway

The room while a bit small was very nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed for the week's stay. It's a very quiet location with a largely private beach which was perfect for relaxing. Plenty of shopping and restaurants were within a few minutes walk or drive. I would very much recommend the hotel for anyone wishing a quiet stay and a good base to explore the island.

Great Value!

This was a great place for what we paid. The location allowed us to move around the island easily, the beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Great ocean view room

Great price, right next to the ocean. Great pool & hot tub area. Beautiful gardens.
