Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 22Beautiful View
This hotel was beautiful. The view was breathtaking and so relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The receptionist made a mistake in booking our transportation dates a day later. When she figured out her mistake, she called a taxi to take us on the five hour drive at the expense of the hotel. The breakfast is delicious!! Would definately recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 22Outstanding Hotel
I loved this place! The view my our room was incredible, the service outstanding and very friendly. And to think I almost didn't book here because they kept mentioning 'being near cows'. I was concerned about possible odor. An added bonus for bird lovers was the variety of colorful birds. I don't usually get excited about 'hotels' but I am about this one.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 22Excellent option for under $90
Hotel was extremely nice. Each room is nicely maintained and the bathrooms are decorated with an open shower and lots of light. Each room has an outdoor patio that faces the volcano (but the lava flows on the other side ) and the rooms are a good size. An additional bonus was the tour to the Manoa farm (which was free). The tour guide is a licensed guide and explains some pretty cool things. The staff is very friendly.

This was a great place to stay. Especially during the green season the price is reduced and totally worth it. Had a great view of Arenal Volcano, when the clouds weren't blocking it. Only complaint was no gym that I saw. Great location and awesome breakfast. Cool free guided farm tour too.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 22Definately Recommend!
This was the best hotel I've stayed at for the price. Each room beautifully decorated and has amazing porch view of hotel. Service was amazing! The young lady who works the front desk is such a sweetheart. Although no spa on property, recommend the spa that they refer you to! Wouldnt stay anywhere else if I returned to the area!

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 22Friendly staff, good location, excellent atmosphere
We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a very good experience. The staff was very helpful in finding us a tour package with the Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs. When we got back late at night, they had a golf cart to take us back to our room. Also we had a problem with our TV and we called the front desk and they came right over to fix it for us. The room was pretty nice but a bit bland- plain walls and tiled floors. The bathrooms were large and open- lots of natural light- very relaxing. Our room had double beds- noticeably less comfortable than a king- and from what I could tell, all the rooms were this way. The rooms were clean but I did encounter one cockroach, which is not unexpected given the climate. It was not a major nuisance other than for the 20 seconds it took to kill it. Wireless internet was advertised as being available in the room but I had trouble getting a steady signal with my iPhone. They did have a complementary business center which served as a suitable backup, although you had to go to the reception area to use it. Breakfast was included with a choice between American and Costa Rican style food- both were very good. They also provided complementary fresh fruit on request. You can see just about everything there is to see in Arenal in one day and this is the perfect hotel for that.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 22Beautiful, hard to find, little English help
The hotel and the surroundings were beautiful! The included breakfast was good. The lunch was so-so, jaccuzzi was warm, the pina colada was good but expensive ($10 each). It is hard to find. There is little help in English.
