Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 16Lovely hotel
Beautiful common areas; sitting areas with comfortable seating, breakfast room, and small courtyard. Very clean and nice rooms. Helpful staff. Great location to eating, beach and center of Miraflores. We definitely recommend.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 16Very pleased
The hotel itself is picturesque, and the staff extremely friendly (although one could argue that this is a characteristic common to most Peruvians in the tourism industry). Within walking distance of some very good restaurants, a large nightlife area (Calle de las Pizzas), the coastline (and para-gliding area) and several casinos. Two computer terminals and a full menu to choose from for your free breakfast are bonuses, in my opinion. Also has a large lounge area which is constantly populated by backpackers, giving it something of a cool hostel vibe. The only (slight) negative for me related to the comfort of my bed. It was a bit hard and the pillows not great, but I expect that when traveling abroad. What made things worse was really climate-related: we went during their "winter," which means it is cool yet humid. This gave everything in our room a "damp" feel, in particular the beds. Probably not their fault, but I didn't experience this in any other hotel in Peru. In all, a great choice.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 16Lovely local hotel
This hotel was a bit off the beaten path, but lovely and quaint. It was quiet and had a local flair, in contrast to the larger, more contemporary hotels in the area.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 16Great personnel
Staff was beyond friendly. They are aware of your needs as a guest and had excellent recommendations. The neighborhood is very peaceful and you can easily and quickly get to good restaurants by the ocean or even take the very comfortable sightseeing bus at the Kennedy park nearby.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 16A Quiet Respite in a Busy City
Mira Flores is probably the most comfortable and safest area in Lima. The hotel is on a quiet street within easy walking of shops and restaurants. Probably the most outstanding feature of the hotel is the staff: the staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and courteous.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 16step back in time
This hotel is really a walk back in time. The renovated front of the gated hotel and garden is impressive but when you walk through the hotel and see the high ceilings, big moldings and antique furniture all around you really feel like you took a look of Peru many years ago. The staff was great and helpful and rooms were clean. Little issue with the phone not ringing but a great place to stay. For the money excellent. It's not the marriott on the ocean where I stayed earlier but this is a great place to stay and the neighborhood is safe and actually very fun.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 16Could use improvement
After settling in our room, we realized the roof was leaking on the bed and reported it to the front desk immediately, who in turn did nothing. We put a trash can and plastic bag on the bed to stop the water damage. After about an hour, I went down to the desk and asked for another room. The front desk clerk lied and told me they had no other rooms. Finally, someone came and checked the room and discovered the leak. We were stuck in the room until they bothered to come up, about two hours. They moved us to another room. (Had she thought we were making the story up?) Anyway, aside from the leak, the staff is crabby and arrogant. But the location is decent and the building is nice.

Positives- friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, 2 free computers with internet access, good security, PRICE!!!! Negatives- about a 10 block walk to the ocean, beds could be more comfortable, small rooms
