Americas Best Value Inn/Lackland

No Service

For the price, the service and amenities we experienced were not worth it. We're looking for other options in the area. I asked the manager about the advertised room price on the marque and he said that was a special rate for a special room. When I pressed him on this, he basically admitted that that was an hourly rate for "you know..." No I didn't know, but I can imagine. No thank you!

Needs improvement

The rooms were very small. The was no lobby

Good hotel for the money, not so good location!

This hotel is located just off US 90 with very easy access North to Lackland AFB. However, Access to the hotel from the North is cut off due to bridge construction on US 90 and the detour takes you through a very rough neighborhood for at least three blocks before you arrive at the hotel entrance. I wouldn't want to drive through this area after dark.

Cancallation Procedure Flawed

Reservations were made several days in advance. I had two nights reserved. Although I called in advance to cancel one night, I was told that the hotel could not cancel the second night. I was charged for two nights, stayed one. Also the attendant at the hotel said that since the reservations were made online she could not take money or do anything for me except give me a key.

Needs improvement

Yes it was a great location for Lackland AFB. However, there was mold in the bathroom, the rooms on either side were smoking rooms so you could smell them. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a pot of Mr. Coffee and a small plate of stale mini donuts. We had to ask twice for extra towels. If it was only convienience of location, (relative to the AFB) then this place would fit the bill. Having a "two star" rating? No, more like 1.5

Don't Let The Smooth Taste Fool You!!!

If you just got out of jail and are looking for a place to stay this is the place for you. I didn't have a iron, ironing board, or clean running water. The water was brown and the excuse I was given was that it was a old room and you have to ket the water tun for a minute. They didn't want to clean up my room in the morning I had to ask for clean towels and wash cloths. This hotel is in a terrible neighborhood, which if you have small child or you are married I would not recommend staying here. I would not recommend staying here if you like simple things like clean water and towels because you will not find them here.

Not so good

Need bigger parking lot, too small the hotel itself as well. Asked for a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. Not to good of a hotel. No ice on the ice machine. Do not recommend

Worthless feels like being ripped off

We stayed Sat and Sun, Sat night we got a small room with bed bugs, ants and blood stained sheets. I complained the next morning and they gave us a bigger room which was much better. It just shows that they can do better but they choose not to. SO why pay for the service that they are not willing to give?

Clean Hotel

The room was clean, the water hot. Close to SeaWorld our Destination. Don't get excited about the continental breakfast, they should not even advertise. They just buy powdered donuts from the corner store and offer some coffee.
