Good Deal

This is a nice little hotel. It is located in Tahoe City which is 15 minutes from Northstar and prob 10 or so from Squaw. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful recommending good restaurants and giving good directions. The hotel itself is older. The rooms were smallish but do you really go to Tahoe to sit in your room? Beds were pretty comfortable, room was clean. We felt very safe. There was a golf course out our back door and geese landed every morning which was fun for us city folk. Breakfast was juice coffee roll and fruit, just enough to get you rolling and looking for lunch a little early. Price was great. You should stay here.

Declining Property

Convenient location for Tahoe City, the property is dated, service was friendly and the room was clean. Would recommend only with modest expectations.

Fine for the Money

The location is perfect, right in the midst of Tahoe City. Great little park across the street to just sit & enjoy the view. About the room: the floor above had a bad squeak, which was very annoying. Because we booked thru Hotels.com we couldn't get a better room without paying an "upgrade" fee, which you also have to pay if you want a microwave or refrigerator. Either of those fees would put you right up there with the higher priced acommodations in the area, so that's something to consider.

Good room for the money

Dated room, nothing fancy. Great location, good hot tub overlooking the lake. Friendly, helpful staff. Lousy breakfast.

Good value

A modest older motel style facility in an excellent location in the center of Tahoe City. It was clean and well run. About the only negatives were an awkward parking/driveway arrangement and a tiny, crowded space for the continental breakfast.

Good Value

The hotel location, in the heart of Tahoe City, is ideal. The room rates are very reasonable. The room was clean and the front desk staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the walls are apparently very thin as I could clearly hear the conversations and the television from the room next door. Luckily, my neighbors went to bed early.

Good Location, Very Uncomfortable Bed

This hotel had a very good location. it was within walking distance to various shops, restaurants, and across the street from Lake tahoe. However, the bed was very hard and if you're on the first level be prepared for squeaky floors above you.

Great hotel, friendly staff

A fantastic deal! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the location is terrific. The hotel is old but absolutely spotless, not a stray hair to be found. I highly recommend it and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
