Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 56Great value for money
Great room, pool and beach front. Just as well I didn't have too much luggage, had to go 6 flights of stairs to room. Furniture on balcony could be improved. Beach towels were a bit ratty so bought my own.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 56Great Little Hotel
We loved this hotel. It is in a great location and the beach in front of the hotel is about the best in Cancun.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 56Perfect for Families
We had a terrific time...the beach was great -- bext in Cancun especially for kids...very tranquil. It never rained all week and the clouds were just inland. My wife spent hours in the water which she hasn't done in years. The place was empty -- offseason, hurricane risk, H1N1....so we had the run of the place. They gave us a suite overlooking the pool and ocean, including breakfast for four of us for $58 US per night. We also ate dinner there ione night which was pretty good too. Combine that with the Airtran $79 each way from Philadelphia and I don't ever expect we'll get such value again.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 56Great beach, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff
My kids had a great time in the pool, for me and my husband was very relaxing. We enjoyed the beach as well, you don’t see rocks in the hotel area, the white sand wont burn your feet and the water is shallow. The hotel is very close to downtown you can walk if you want. We got the breakfast package and is all worth it, many choices (French toast, pancakes, cereals, fruits, Mexican, Omelets and more). Cost per night was low for all we got. Very good food in restaurant if you like sea food try the shrimp cocktail is to die for.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 56Great Room for the Money
We enjoyed the place. The other reviewers are correct in that this hotel is small compared to the other mega hotels in the area but the rooms seemed to be on the large side. We did not experience the mosquitos mentioned in another review and the beach was well maintained. We used the grocery store 2 blocks from the hotel quite a bit but they have a lot of the things you need right in the hotel. There were no ice machines so we had to purchase ice every few days. This hotel is also close to most all of the restaurants and one of the malls other than the market.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 56Only one down side
It may of been the time of year but, there were mosquitos in the room which made it hard to sleep! Everything else about the hotel incl. Room, beach, food, drinks, tourist office were all above average. They will charge for phone calls from the room and internet is avail. in the lobby for a fee. Convenience store is a short walk from the hotel and handy for sunscreen, sodas, mixers and liquor too.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 56Great Beach, Nice Hotel, Good Price
The beach is the best in Cancun. Other hi-rises have little to no beach, often with rocks. Here, the large area of sand is clean, waves are gentle, and the sunsets are awesome (most hotels on the strip face east, so sunsets are blocked by the hotel). The staff is friendly, and the beach-side restaurant and bar was a huge plus. The open pathways between the buildings were much more pleasant to walk through than riding an elevator. The concierge was outstanding at finding us transportation, activities, and saving us money. Top-notch nightlife is just short walk away (10 min), and there is a bus stop in front as well. Our week-long stay at Ambiance was well worth it, and we will definitely consider this place first when we return to Cancun.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 56Great Time at Spring Break!
Great hotel! We went for spring break last week and had a great time. We had a 2 bedroom suite and loved it. The room was spacious and slept everyone comforably. Our only issue with the room was that the power in one of the rooms would flicker on and off when everyone was getting ready to go out at night. We never felt unsafe or had any issue of theft (as I was weary about after reading other reviews) The staff was very friendly! We would tell them where we were going every night and they had coupons for clubs and restaraunts. The guys at the bar will take care of you no matter what. We are college kids and there were mostly families there but it was nice to get away from the crazy scene when we were ready.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 56Very nice gardens and beach setting
The only problem we had was the small size of the double bed. Too short and I am 5' 9".

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 56beautiful beach
Compared to a lot of the other large hotels in Cancun, this hotel had a beautiful beach and a nice swimming area. The beach bar/restaurant was reasonably priced and pretty good.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 56Great Hotel!
I felt very safe at Ambiance. There were security guards at both the entrance and the beach. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which was very convenient. It was within walking distance of nice places to eat and a fun night life. The beach at Ambiance is everything you could ever want. I would highly recommend staying here. Very nice for such a low price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 56excellent except for alcohol drinks
Eight night stay. Room 4310 has an awesome, private balcony.Local buses run every 2 minutes during the day until late at night then every 15 minutes. Bus stop out front. Just tell the driver where you want to go. Downtown local "Market 28" was less expensive than the mercado on hotel row. Handy grocery store 2 blocks away. Night life, Senor Frogs etc. within 10 to 15 minutes walking. Restaurants food good. Only complaint was the poor tasting drinks at $4.50.The call drinks cost $6 then upped to $9 a shot. Recommend Aqua World for any water sports. The best beach in the area. Bar/food service on beach great. Would definitely stay here again.
