Trip Type: Special Event Review 16 of 898Great Service
The service was very very good, arrived on Monday night in the middle of a NFL Monday night game in New Orleans, and the staff couldn't have been nicer... even with all of the craziness going on. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Obvious shortcomings included malfunctioning drain plug in the bathroom sink and malfunctioning outlet plug for the coffee maker. The warping of the floor boards may be considered historic ambience by some, but I'm sure none would find charm in the condition where some of the nail heads were beginning to rise out of the floor, particularly if you usually like to relax in the room with shoes off.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 20 of 898Nice Hotel
The room was beautiful! I really enjoyed how it wasn't a cookie cutter hotel room. It was close to the water front. Easy walking to anything. I didn't like how we were charged for phone used/internet when we didnt even use the phone or internet...but it's apparently a required charged that was not mentioned

Trip Type: Special Event Review 22 of 898Not what I was expecting
After reading the reviews, I expected this hotel to be a small gem in the CBD. But the hotel was dirty, shabby, and overall under-whelming. Blah.

Trip Type: Romance Review 24 of 898Better hotel than I thought
Nice location and really nice rooms for the money. The only problem we had was our room was adjacent to the elevator and it was quite loud. Booked at the last minute though, so probably not a room they usually use. Try Mother's down the street for breakfast. Good food if you can stand the wait.

Trip Type: Romance Review 26 of 898Great Room for the money
As described..hotel room had exposed brick walls, absolutely charming. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Was allowed to check in super early (arrived at about 1030am!) Building was a coffee warehouse and although there are some rooms that are interior and have no view of the outdoors, they all have windows. Very interesting layout. Short Walk to the French Quarter and public trans (buses and street cars). Would definately return.

The location of the hotel is great in relation to other areas. It's a brief cab ride to bourbon st. the hotel is old and beaten up tho. The shower was broken and the place needs renovation.

Trip Type: Business Review 29 of 898Room - needed some attention; Service - better than average
TV remote missing the battery door, but still operational. I found some painter's tape in the room, which indicates maintenance occurs, so this could be interpeted either good or bad. I considered the gaps between the slats in the wood floor as part of the charm, but I was cautious not to drop my roomkey or change! Resort fee was not hidden, but I consider it meaningless; just put it up front in the cost of the room. Really a good location for conventioneers, gamblers (Harrah's), etc. Finally, the staff was helpful and friendly which can sometimes make up for the irregularities of the room.
