Amazon Hotel

Location.The Amazon Hotel is a modern property located in Plaka, in the centre of Athens, Greece, 50 metres from Syntagma Square and one kilometre from the Acropolis. Athens Airport is 30 kilometres from the hotel, a 30-minute drive.

Hotel Features.The hotel offers a coffee and snack bar and a bright breakfast room. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can arrange excursions and book airport transfers, and the business centre has conference rooms, computer rental and secretarial services. Guests of the Amazon Hotel can also unwind with drinks in the bar and make use of high-speed Internet connections.

Guestrooms. The 46 guestrooms, over seven floors, are decorated in soft, pastel shades with modern furnishings. All include cable television with pay movies, telephones with voicemail, minibars, high-speed Internet connections and air conditioning.

Expert Tip. Plaka is the picturesque old Turkish quarter of Athens. Visitors can explore the 5th-century buildings of the Acropolis. Standing over the Acropolis is the monument of Parthenon dating back to 438 BC. Please note that no metro/underground service will be available from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport from 14th February 2009 for approximately six months due to the construction of a new line. Guests arriving at the airport can reach central Athens by express buses which can be found outside the arrivals terminal. A taxi terminal can also be found outside arrivals. Please note that the tariff doubles between midnight and 6 a.m. and it is advised to ask your driver for a receipt upon reaching your destination.
