Worst hotel choice of our vacation

This place should really not be on Hotels.com because it is not a hotel. It is kind of like a condo rental. They only clean the room or replace the linen every 7 days. There was only tile and no carpet, so within about a day the floor was so dirty you couldn't walk barefoot. They also have extra hidden charges for EVERYTHING. They have room safes but charge you a daily rate to use them. If you need a towel for the pool, there is a charge, and on it goes. The rooms are old and not well maintained. Our toilet did not flush well at all (will leave to your imagination) and we called the first day. Nothing was done and we were told there were no other rooms although most of the rooms on our floor were empty. We had absolutely no view whatsoever even though that is one of their big selling points. We were put on the ground floor behind bushes. The A/C unit is right above the bed and is so loud it is hard to sleep and blows a tunnel of air right at your head. We really, really regretted the decision to stay here. The price was Ok but not worth it at all. If you stay here to save money, no problem, but don't expect it to be great.

Location

The hotel is ideally located between Cairns and Port Douglas. A good location if you are planning to have an activity filled vacation. We fould it to be very convenient to travel to Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas, Kurunda and Cairns. The location and the view was awesome. Nitin

Ocean view studio for incredible price!

Incredible ocean-view studio condo(partial wall separates bed area from living area). Great location...Trinity Beach is a quiet beach area 15-20 min. from Cairns. Close enough to enjoy the Great Barrier Reef trips from Cairns, and 10 min. to the Aboriginal Cultural Park and Karunda Rainforest Sky/Rail. Best to rent a car and at this price you can afford to! Perfect for families or couples...too quiet for 20-somethings. Nice BBQ area. Discount price was good during their early summer...temps were hot and humid but were in the water over half our time there, so no worries. 1 hr. scenic drive to Pt. Douglas.
