Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 19Great hotel with nothing to do
Aloft is a great idea: create a low-cost hotel that looks and feels hip. To that end, the Aloft Montreal Airport succeeds in spades. At a price comparable to cardboard-cutout Marriott and Sheraton and Holiday Inn properties, you get the look and feel and even much of the comfort of a specialty boutique hotel. What you don't get is a restaurant or pretty much anything else. That would be fine if the hotel was within walking or even short driving distance of shops and (especially) restaurants. Montreal Airport is not. I struggled to find reasonable places to dine. Breakfast consisted of Tim Horton's doughnuts and coffee. Dinner was a real stretch until I found Lakeshore Street in the older part of Dorval. If you find yourself here overnight, *definitely* dine at Natalino. Better yet, try Bistro Poissonnerie. Did I mention the home made pies, fresh carrot-ginger soup or all you can eat mussels for $15? I digress - the Aloft is all right and I'd probably stay there again but only if I had to be in the area.

Our stay at the Alofdt was wonderful. Great location, on time wake up call and on time shuttle bus. Great value.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 19Excellent location for an early morning flight out of Montreal
The hotel is in a great location if you need to catch an early morning flight out of Montreal. Unfortunately, there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel so make sure you have dinner before going to the hotel. Everything else was more than adequate.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 19Good budget hotel near the airport
Very modern, clean, comfortable room, great value for the price. Bar and snacks, but no restaurant; there's one in the hotel across the street.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 19Nice new hotel
Clean, comfortable room. Shuttle service started early enough to get to the airport by 5:30 A.M. The only thing lacking was an on-site restaurant. However, meals were available at neighboring properties.

Very convenient location near Montreal Airport. The modern design adds to a comfortable stay. The 42 inch flat screen TV was exceptional and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 19Best Kept Secret in Montreal
The Aloft is great. Great location, close to teh airport, a shuttle ever 15 minutes, great service, great rooms. I am in Montreal 5-8 times a year and now have a home when I am there. This was my second stay in 4 months and the staff actually remembered my name. great product at a really fair price!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 19Great modern hotel
High ceilings and modern, uncluttered furnishings combine to make the small room feel spacious and open. Comfortable beds, spacious bathroom/sink area. Nicely kept gym and pool areas. Right next door to airport with convenient shuttle service.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 19cool, modern hotel
The aloft hotel near Montreal airport appeared to be very new, was in excellent shape, and had a trendy, modern feel. (Though it did seem a little out of place...it's the type of hotel you'd expect in the hip part of a big city, not near the airport). The room set-up is non-traditional, but the room was large and had very nice furnishings including a big flat-panel TV hung on the wall. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. I would highly recommend it if you need to stay near the airport, but it is ~15 km outside of the city, so it may not be the best choice if you have business in Montreal or want to explore the city.
