Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 1 of 95Good medium-priced hotel
It was a good, medium-priced hotel: good location, clean, and comfortable

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 95Matches the price you pay
Overall it was clean and good location. I'd stay again if we went back to San Antonio.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 95Not worth the it!
The hotel is divided in a very strange way. We had to stay across the street from the main part of the hotel and had no access to the pool. If you wanted the free breakfast, you walked across two streets to get to the office. The location is only two blocks from the alamo but not a very safe location after dark. The housekeeping did a bad job cleaning the rooms and didn't bother to knock before coming in. They just barged in. We stayed for 3 days and not once did they vacuum or clean the sink counter. We will not stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 95Great Location, Good Price.
Within walking distance of the Alamo, the Hemisfair Tower and the riverwalk. Hotel was pretty much what you would expect, a normal Day's Inn, no frills. It was clean, and management responded quickly to requests.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 95A very good place to stay downtown
My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The motel was so convenient to the tourist sites we came to explore and it was within walking distance of many places to eat.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 95"Great room for the money"
Neighborhood is OK for daytime walking. Had some concerns after dark. Price is 25% cheaper then others in the area. Cannot eval pool as we never got there. . .spent all our time on the riverwalk. The man at the front desk was more then helpful . . . giving detailed directions, including maps, to the various attractions. we were there only one night . .very nice room. Oh yea . . the room had a safe . . that is a pleasant surprise for people traveleing with laptops and or weapons ( this is Texas! haha!)

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 95Great for money and location
I really enjoyed the hotel. It was convenient to the Hyatt, where the WHFSC Martial Arts Hall of Fame was being held, and I could also visit other sites such as the Riverwalk and the Alamo with ease. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 95Good room for the money
I expected it to be a little nicer, but, it's VERY close to everything (like a block or two from both the Alamo and the Riverwalk). The only downside was that everything in the room was old. Plus, the pool is RIGHT next to the street/highway, so it's a little uncomfortable. The staff, though, is GREAT, very flexible. Plus, it's much cheaper than the rooms in the hotels in the vacinity. It's just old and simple. If you're looking for a cheap, safe room in a great location, this is your hotel. If you want a flat screen TV and a fancy pool, I'd stay somewhere else.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 95no bugs at this time
the hotel was in a great location. the breakfast was what to be expected these days. it was just muffins and sometimes cereal. the room was ok and and the maids sometimes did not finish their job. i guess that happens when it is spring break and the hotel is packed. they also could of used some c.l.r. in the bathroom. it had rust and copper stains on all the fixtures.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 95You might as well sleep outside, on the ground!
Before booking this hotel, I read some of the reviews. The reviews led me to believe that this may be decent hotel for the inexpensive price. After our stay, it was obvious that these reviews must have been written by the hotel staff to attract guests! My wife and I have never been the type to complain of bad service. We tend to manage and tolerate through moderate situations. But when we first entered our room at the Alamo-Days Inn we were immediatley met with an odor. After looking around I found that the bath tub was stained with dirt from previous guests, stains had been on the wall as if the previous guests had paintball guns, limescale was present on the toilet handle, and BROWN stains were beneath the toilet seat and in the rim of the toilet (Yes. Brown. YUCK!!! Strike#1). So I requested another room. The girl at the front office kindly granted my request by offering another room. (Ball #1) Not that were we SATISFIED with this room, but it was the lesser of two evils. In the middle of the night (approximately aroun 1am) we were awaked by a pounding on our hotel room door. Unfortunately for us, the Alamo-Days Inn issued another guest the same room that had been reissued to us only 4 hours ago. Luckily we had double locked the door with the latch lock in addition to the bolt lock. If not these unknown individuals would have had access to us and all of our belongings while we soundly slept. Talk about sleeping "safe & sound". This was already strike number 2 against the Days Inn and we haven't been here for 6 hours! After angrily forcing myself back to sleep, my wife and I were awakened at 8am by a member of the hotel staff. This gentleman exclaimed that he was there to clean the room and that we should have been checked out yesterday. (Strike #3) Apparently the generous young lady that offered us the new room had not followed through and informed the hotel staff that we had been relocated to this new room. 30 minutes later after I shooed off this guy, the
