Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 54Pre-digital coolness
Each room feels like it could be your apartment. Great gym facilities. BBQ and Bar right by the pool. (Two pools, btw) ... Two restaurants - one a great diner with a hostess that sings Judy Garland tunes on occasion. The other in the bar is great for late night eats - charge it all to your room! Great vibe - great perks/conveniences - awesome staff. Can't wait to go back.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 54Overpriced and underdelivered
Extra costs for “resort fees” includes wifi, parking, pool and Jacuzzi access, spa access (which has limited hours based on appointments) First menu item sampled: pita chips and humus-chips seems stale. Overpriced. Room : It was so hot outside that the medal on the door burned my hand. The door was also very very heavy and didn’t close properly. The robe was not very ergonomical. You have to put it on over your head. It was also not very attractive or comfortable. Felt stiff as well No full length mirror-a must. House Keeping woke us up by knocking on the door at 8:30 There was puke or something on the “curtain/divider” that was in front of the couch Green: Key cards seem to be environmentally friendly but started to fall apart a bit after getting wet at the pool. Customer service sucked as after we complained about some of the issues, they did nothing.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 54Clever, kitchey, friendly, green, and cheap. LOVED IT!
The Ace Hotel isnt fancy but its well put together in a way that cuts unnecessary amenities out and splurges on the important ones making it a stylish, hip choice at an affordable price. Dogs are welcome almost everywhere on property (and theres alot of dogs there) so you can lounge at the pool with your pooch and theyll bring water for her. Its a great vibe which makes it a fun place instead of everyone being too "cool". The local, organic food is delicious and the drinks (and adult snow cones) are too. The ground are super clean and well kept. Its very much like a more casual version of The PArker, Palm Springs with better service, Ill always choose the Ace over the Parker from now on. We loved it and look forward to going back. Better for adults, couples ot groups, than families though.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 54Nice Hotel....Bad Attitude
This hotel has so much potential, but the staff is lazy, unprofessional and callous. I was overcharged for an item and after 4 attempts, they still haven't made good....it wasn't a lot of money, but it's the principal. They made me feel like a criminal. I will never go back...it's too bad because the hotel is pretty cool.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 54Great place to hang out
The Ace is a great place to lounge by the pool with friends, good food and atmosphere with a nice view of the mountains. The restaurant was great but it would be nice if they offered some late night snacks. The rooms are nice but they need some darker curtains, the sun will shine right thru your white curtains and wake you early in the morning.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 54Too Trendy.
No counter space in bathroom... but two sinks. Very low furniture which gets old. FORM OVER FUNCTION! Fun staff, fun trendy people stay here. Kinda noisy at night because of people having a good time... this is a party hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 54Awful Customer Follow-Up
This hotels is a great resort with nice rooms, a great pool and a fun restaurant and bar. Why then, the awful rating? The customer service here was horrible. I was overcharged $22 in the restaurant. I didn't notice it until the next day. I went to the front desk and explained the situation. They walked me to the restaurant and I spoke with one of the waiters. They took down the relevant information and said that the manager would call me back. Well, I heard nothing that day. The next day, at check out, I paid the bill and again explained that I had been overcharged. After going over this again and giving my name and phone number, I was told that I would receive a call from the manager that day. Well, two days later, no phone call. It gets pretty old explaining over and over again. It makes you feel like they don't believe you. I should have immediately been refunded the $22 or a comped that amount for the charged I made to my room for movies and snacks. At least give me a pool towel or t-shirt. Scott, Miguel, and Sean....a big thank you for helping me out...not!!!!!You three really need to get it together. Your lack of follow through insulted and angered me. You're the hot spot in town now, but just wait until the novelty wears off and you actaully need to earn the respect and loyalty of your guests!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 54Fun, Funky, Friendly
Ace Hotel and Swim Club is a made over Ho Jo's situated along a strip of East Palm Canyon Dr. with other similar hotels, only Ace has one upped every other hotel by transforming what was a mediocre at best establishment to something quite unique. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are quirky and different, with canvas lined walls and bed coverings, slats on opposite walls with hooks that hold complimentary robes and of all things a hiking stick for treks if you so choose. The standard rooms are a bit small, but there are patio rooms that are quite a bit larger with two or three beds and even sofa beds. The patio rooms also allow pets, but the daily pet fee is a little steep: $25 per day per pet. Also the room rates are pretty reasonable, but they tack on a $20 a day "resort" fee on to that because of the spa facilities at the hotel. The gym, sauna and steam bath are gratis; there is a fee for massages and other services. There are bikes that are complimentary for rides around town. The restaurant and bar are nice, maybe a bit pricey, and on the weekends there is a bar outside by the pool. There are two pools and a huge hot tub (not jacuzzi) with oversize ottomans and hammocks for lounging, and the restaurant and bar serve food and drinks at the pool area. The landscaping is lovely; xeriscape and minimal but very effective, with drought tolerant trees and plantings and decomposed granite and concrete walkways throughout. All in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of a getaway to Palm Springs. Really the only negatives I could think of was the over the top pet fee and a room service tray that sat outside our neighbors door for the two days we were there. The manager was very embarrassed and apologetic when I told her about it so I guess I can give them a pass on that. Try Ace, you'll like it!

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 54Loved the Ace Palm Springs!!
The styel of the place was really great, young, hip, relaxing. We had a garden room, brought our dog Blanca and had THE BEST TIME. The crowd is very mixed which is always nice. Overall, EXCELLENT weekend! We will definitely be back to the Ace sometime soon.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 14 of 54Indie Hipster Paradise
If you like the indie scene, you'll fit right in. From the hip front desk staff, to the bartenders poolside on longboard skateboards, every detail screams culture, fashion, design, and yet all the comfort and professionalism you would expect from a hotel. Inventive typography and graphic design throughout so if you're a design nerd you'll love it. Really well thought out room interiors with tons of creative touches and comfort. You have to check out the best stocked mini bar in the world. Late night poolside for cocktails and indie music while seeing outdoor fireplaces glow is a wonderful way to end the evening. Close to town for Palm Springs and on the way to Indio- great location.
