    We only stayed at Abita Appartamenti and in Trapani because we were flying in and out of there. After seeing the city and staying at this hotel, I wish we would have spent more time here. The apartments were perfect for a family or friends travelling. The location was perfect. The rooms clean, charming and had places for people to meet and/or relax. The staff was friendly, fun, helpful and accommodating. We reccommend this hotel and want to return. The only draw back is that parking is not provided and the streets are tight.

    The customer service here was pretty great for the most part. There was a guy there one night who was not very helpful, and who would not even take a note to give the morning staff. (Saying it might get lost before then.) We stayed in the apartment apart from the main building. It was not even a full block off of the ocean, and the wind whipping around prevented our getting more than 1-2 hours sleep at night. It would scream and then rattle the windows practically incessantly. Not sure if staying in the main building or in a more pleasant (non-November) season would be quieter, but hopefully you get more sleep there if you stay than we did.

Location. The Abita Appartamenti hotel is located in Trapani, in Sicily, Italy, within 500 metres of San Lorenzo Cathedral and 800 metres of the harbour.

Hotel Features. Housed in a 16th-century palace, the Abita Appartamenti hotel offers individually decorated apartments with fully equipped kitchens. The hotel has a lounge with television and a sunny tiled courtyard. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is served all day at the Abita Appartamenti and there is a lounge bar. The hotel does not have its own restaurant but there are plenty to choose from in the surrounding area.

Bicycle rentals are offered at the Abita Appartamenti with scooter rentals nearby. The harbour is within 800 metres and the San Vito Lo Capo beaches are 18 kilometres away. Water sports available at the beach include scuba diving, jet skiing, and windsurfing.

Guestrooms. The 20 individually decorated air-conditioned apartments all have balconies and kitchens with refrigerators and coffee/tea makers. Rooms include complimentary newspapers, flatscreen televisions, hair dryers, and wireless Internet access. Decor is typically Sicilian with neutral walls, bright patterned fabrics, and wooden furnishings.

Expert Tip. Hydrofoil boats run from Trapani harbour to the gorgeous Egadi islands - the three islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo - which have just 4,600 inhabitants.
