Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 11Amazing B&B!!
We were only able to spend one night here, but this place was AMAZING!!! The proprietors were friendly like long-visited family, the pets (especially the dogs, and the two divine cats) were so welcoming, the massage chair fabulous, the hot tub under the stars awesome, the spa tub in the room so relaxing, the bed the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and a very yummy breakfast to boot. They worked around my dietary restriction, oh, and did I mention the waterfall/fountain outside our window that made it impossible to hear anything but our thoughts and lightly trickling water? Amazing. We can't wait to go back!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 11Excellent B&B, excellent staff
A Bed of Roses met all my expectations for a weekend in the mountains. It is within minutes of the city of Oakhurst, outings to Bass Lake and the south entrance of Yosemite. Our room was full of little amenities (soft lighting and a big jacuzzi tub)for a romantic weekend getaway. The food and staff were absolutely GREAT and sooo accomodating!

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 11Great B&B outside of Yosemite.
This is a great B&B: full hot breakfast, pool, hot tub, petting zoo and nice rooms with good hosts. Also, kid friendly, but you be charged ~$20/kid. Only complaints are: ants, ~15 mins from the SOUTH gate of Yosemite and ~1.3 hours from Yosemite Valley.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 11A very nice place
This is a pretty good place. Its not the closest to park but there are not many other hotels near by. Staff is very friendly. Lot of eating places within 2-3 miles of the hotel location.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 11VERY DISAPOINTED!
Contrary to other glowing reviews, that sent me to this place..This was my experience... Arived to long gravel driveway, pulling rolling suitcase in sandles, NO FUN! Greeted with note stuck to door, giving directions to our room. Opened the door to a mess of tacky souviners, candy for sale, old furniture and TV being stored and various other junk, entire area messy, with a "we don't care look". On to the room, Yikes...very small, half of which it taken up by a small one person jacuzzie in a huge platform, w/strange skylight. w/old ugly empty pot and a dirty dish half full of gummed up bubble bath, awful purple faux paint job, cheep unmatched garage sale funiture. Toilet/closet..so small your elbows bang the wall. There are annoying signs everywhere, explaining what you may and may not do, including one near a bottle of spray cleaner, telling you to clean up any mess you make. Also comes w/toilet brush and plunger. A hot day..nicely air conditioned when we arrived, but turned off when we returned from dinner, and very warm, but.. a big old noisey fan sitting on the table. This is a sorry excuse for a B&B.. Not to mention that the "AT Yosemite"..Is a joke , you are more than an hour drive from the village, with weekend traffic can be closer to 2 hours. Save your money! Go somewhere else.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 11Cute, cozy place, well-priced
My new wife and I were very satisfied with the experience. We found the location convenient in regards to the south entrance of Yosemite Park, and much better in price than the Yosemite Valley itself. Very nice house cats at this B+B and the breakfast was wonderful the next morning! The Innkeeper was polite and nice to talk to. Room was nice but the walls are thin, considering this looked to be a converted family home. Clean and comfortable, I would recommend it for anyone wanting to relax evening after a day of hiking and sightseeing. If you are willing to stay an hour outside Yosemite Valley to save about half, then this is a great idea! Beware you will probably not have phone service here being a few miles outside Oakhurst. The B+B is set a block or so off the main highway in a nice little mountain neighborhood, but the turn-off from the highway is easy to pass so watch for that.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 11Like a Second Home
Fantastic, friendly, and comfortable B&B. Hosts were very pleasant and accomodating. We loved being able to relax in the common area in front of the fireplace with the hot drinks and cookies that were provided for us, with their friendly cats on the couch next to us! Breakfast each morning was delicious, rooms were well-maintained, clean and comfortable. We even had a heated mattress pad! The only downside (and it's a small one) was that it takes nearly an hour to drive to Yosemite Valley inside the park. The roads are so curvy that you can't drive very fast. We spent 4 nights at the hotel and decided not to go into the park on our last day because we were sick of the drive. Other than that very minor inconvenience, A Bed of Roses is a wonderful place and I would definitely recommend it!

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 11Great find!
Such a delightful b&b! The home is really nice and the friendly, gracious owners have gone out of their way with every detail to make their guests very comfortable. I loved having the nice outdoor jacuzzi AND the in-room spa bath. My daughter loved all the animals (the petting zoo) in the huge backyard and all the board and chess games available to guests. Delicious breakfast, too! It's very convenient for visits to Yosemite, Bass Lake, the Sugar Pine Railroad, etc. We hated to leave and we will definitely return.
