Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 40Is this hotel haunted?
The location could not be beat. It is a noisy location--noisy in a fun way. The only concern I would have is that the first night we stayed there, at about 3-4 AM, I heard someone slowly walking the outside walkway in heels. I thought this was very rude. The second night at about the same time, it awakened me again and I went out to confront the person, but found no one there. I found out later that the hotel is located next next to the house Jennie Wade was shot in. Not sure if there's a connection.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 40Overall very good
The hotel is very conveniently located with good parking and easy access to the rooms. We received a fall (season) discoun, so with the low original price, it was a very good bargain. However, perhaps it was because of the time of year (Nov), but the dining room was not open at all. There were restaurants nearby though.

Nice hotel. We could walk to restaurant and shopping. Hotel was clean and the hotel restaurant was very nice for breakfast.

Great location within walking distance to the town square and cemetary. Spacious room and bathroom. Would stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 40Pleasant stay
Nice hotel, nice location. Easy walk to restaurants. My room was in front (second floor) but at times was a bit noisy because of the traffic. A room in the back would be better (for less noise) but the view in the back is parking lot and roof top.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 40O.K. For The Price
A converted Holiday Inn - althought the name can mislead some looking for an authentic 1863 Inn. Good, clean, hotel, but average.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 40Great Hotel Great Price.
This hotel is an exceptional value at this time of year. It is close to the battlefield visiters center and the town of Gettysburg. The bus tour company is right next door and is well worth taking. The hotel is near new on interior and furnishings and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a central elevator of the lobby and parking level to get to the outside walkways. This is not noted in the advertising for the hotel. The restarant in the hotel has an excelent menue. it is a bit pricy but average for this area. There are a lot of other resturants in town that don't show in the the various lists. Take a ghost tour. We had a lot of fun on the one we took.

We loved the place when it was Holiday Inn, but they are doing a wonderful job maintaining the quality of service and comfortable atmosphere we were use to and I think the friendliness has even improved. They seem to care even more about its success or failure. Its location cannot be beat for convenience to all of the attractions Gettysburg has to offer.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 40The Hotel Door Lock
We had a problem with our room door lock. When we were leaving for the day on Saturday, our door did not lock. The housekeeping staff notified maintenance. When we returned later that day, our card key did not work, so we went down to have it re-keyed - again, it did not work. At that time, we called the front desk and someone came up to our room with a master key (even she had trouble opening the door) but it finally opened. When the maintenance person came in at 5:00 PM, he immediately came to our room and took care of the problem. When we went out that night, the door did not lock again. Therefore, we just left it unlocked for the rest of our stay and no one touch any of our belongings - all was well.
