    The 1835 White Palm is a five star luxury Hotel right on the beach at Cannes; probably the best location in all of Cannes. I booked the cheapest room in the Hotel as a welcomerewards stay but when I checked in I was very lucky and they gave me a free upgrade to a room with a balcony facing the Mediterrainian; the view was stunning. I can only imagine what it actually cost; this hotel is very very expensive. The hotel was originally built in 1835 (hence the name), but it has been recently redone in a style which is hyper-modern to the extreme. The rooms are roughly equivalent to executive suite rooms at a Hilton, but mostly it's the location that makes this hotel so attractive. There is a beautiful terrace on the top floor with stunning views, and a (quite expensive) restaurant on the terrace also with stunning views of the old port and the sea. The old port and the beach are right across the street, and there are dozens of restaurants facing the sea within a five minute walk. Reasonable parking is available across the street in the public lot for the old port. Two big thumbs up for welcomerewards! I've used different hotel rewards programs before, but welcomerewards is by far the best. I can't imagine any other rewards program letting me stay in a hotel like this.

Location. The 1835 - White Palm Hotel is a sea-front hotel built in 1930, located opposite the Old Port and Midi Beach overlooking the Esterel Mountains. It is 500 metres from La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals. Nice International Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

Hotel Features. The hotel's thermal baths offer spa treatments and massage services. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and room service can be ordered round the clock. Other amenities include dry cleaning services, safe-deposit boxes, currency exchange, and valet parking at a cost of 22 EUR per day.

The hotel has a stylish restaurant on the seventh floor of the hotel offering panoramic views of the city and a roof top terrace overlooking the Bay of Cannes. The restaurant offers lunch and dinner; there is also a restaurant in the thermal baths area that features a Bento Box menu. Breakfast is offered in the ground-floor 30° Celsius.

Guestrooms. 1835 - White Palm Hotel offers 134 air-conditioned guestrooms located on seven floors, which have decor in relaxing shades. All include satellite television, direct-dial phones, hair dryers, tea and coffee making facilities and minibars. Wireless, high-speed Internet access is complimentary.

Expert Tip. The palm-tree lined La Croisette Boulevard, just 500 metres from the hotel, is home to the Street of Stars, where 200 flagstones bear the moulded hand prints of the great stars of the cinema. The Port is the epicentre of Cannes and bars, restaurants and shops line the waterfront.
