Pasay City is not the best place to stay,however, this place makes it worse. It is not a 5-star hotel. Don't be fooled!! The Casino allows hustlers to harass you on the gaming floor and in the hotel. I used this hotel for a 2 hour stayover while connecting in Manila for an early morning flight out to the countryside. We checked in, rested for 1 hour, and showered, and checked out, all between 1am and 3am. A very marginal hotel. Staff was friendly but tried to charge for EVERYTHING. Billing was not correct. Charged $20USD for a horrible breakfast they told me was INCLUDED. I want to start by saying the hotel staff at the front desk was excellent. I stayed on the 7th floor. As I walked to my room I could see big industrial dryer (fans) becaue the carpet was very damp. I dont know what happened but the fans only dried the water, it still smelled very musky in the hallway for the whole time I was there. I ate breakfast in […] the buffet but was not impressed. It was very expensive the the quality of food and the variety was not befitting such a high price tag. If you plan on eating at the hotel breakfast buffet pay for it ahead of time when you book the room it will save you lots of money. Lastly, I flew out of manila late the next evening. I paid quite a bit of money for a late check out. Almost the cost of another full night. I needed to get some rest because my trip was exhausting. Just as I fell asleep for a nap late in the afternoon, there was someone knocking constantly and repeatedly at my door. I went to the door and was asked by a staff member if I was checking out? I had paid many hours before for the late check out and was not pleased because I could not get back to sleep. I was happy to leave at that point and make my way to the airport early. Not a bad looking room for an older hotel but the staff needs some etiquette and communication skills. I will pay a little more next time to have decent service and food. The facade and lobby are four star, but one you get to your floor, it feels like a tired has-been hotel. My non-smoking room had a strong smoking odor. The TV was small and old. Bathroom was tiled from it's glory days, but grout was replaced with silicone which was peeing off. Mold was on the corners.
