The hotel is great and the breakfast buffet is perfect. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant -- the food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. Dinner on our last night was superb. Even though out flight was the red eye back to the US the hotel made it all work out. The room is very comfortable and the beds are superb. We were very pleased with the Thunderbird Hotel Principal. The beds were SOOO comfy. A wonderful surprise after camping for 4 days in central Peru. An unpleasant surprise on arrival at the hotel at 10.30am from the airport to find that no booking in before 3pm! This should be highlighted! This was not clear anywhere when booking and was very frustrating and inconvenient. "Definitively not a 5 star"
To start with, there were discrepancies between the information on the reservation and the actual policy of the hotel. Check out, for instance, is at 3 pm, not at 2 pm, as stated in the reservation. Our room (1506), which was old and certainly not refurbished, had a weak and unstable WIFI connection (a useless one, indeed) and the remote did not work. […] In spite of the reservation having been made for 2 adults and 2 children (5 & 8), the hotel charged us for the children´s breakfast. Nos arredores tem supermercados, shopping centers, bancos, cafés e restaurantes, além de muita segurança pública e um belo parque que conta com internet WiFi.
