Family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 teens. Stayed at Holiday Inn on the airport locale because of convenience. We had hired a car (a must if you stay here) and used it as a base to travel around the Auckland city and suburban region. Hotel itself was good, staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Restaurant staff particularly so - meals came promptly, generous […] serves, attentive staff. Buffet a little overpriced, but there were alternative dishes with a reasonable variety. Car parking was adequate for the size of the hotel. Internet was priced well and better than most other hotels in the area. Reception was also good. Rooms were spacious and maintained to a good standard. If we needed anything it was provided promptly and graciously. Location as stated is close to the airport so excellent for overnight before flying out, or good for transit passengers. Long-term stay would require your own transport. Would stay here again. Check-in was swift and our room was nice. We had booked overnight with breakfast, but there seemed to be some confusion and we were told otherwise - despite showing them our booking confirmation.
