The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant on the property offered breakfast and dinner meals. We were not traveling by car and found the restaurant a definite asset.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Sleepless in Dunedin"
This is quite a tricky one. The hotel was actually fine in itself, and we generally found the staff helpful and polite. The room was clean and modern, although the bed was a bit like sleeping on a blancmange. The issue we had was with other guests. Shortly before we went for dinner a maori rugby team arrived, and it seemed that they had had a good match. […] The celebrations were well in hand. The lady that served our dinner told us that they had already had four complaints from other guests about their rowdy behaviour. This rowdiness continued all night. They had foot races up and down the passage outside our room (until 3 a.m.) and spent the whole night shouting to each other between rooms. We had very little sleep. In the morning the receptionist denied any knowledge of their poor behaviour, which was frankly ridiculous as we (and other hotel guests we had spoken to) had complained throughout the night. The hotel management clearly lacked the resolve to confront the team's management and ask them to consider other guests, as they carried on completely unchecked. The maori lads themselves were obviously in very high spirits and weren't outright obnoxious (although some of the language was a bit ripe), but they, their team management and most particularly the hotel's management should have told them to shut up and let others sleep. The last comment we heard from one of the team as they left the hotel at about 7 a.m. was "I'll bet this lot will be glad to see the back of us, eh?". Pretty much sums it up really. I would definitely not stay here for the World Cup unless they radically improve security on-site, especially if you want any sleep (but then again it might suit some fans perfectly!). "Was ok"
Was promptly reminded check in was 1pm even though room was ready. Had booked queen, was given double room but was upgraded to king when pointed out to staff. Very happy with that.
