Amsterdam’s international airport, Schiphol is 14 kilometres south-west of the city centre. "Not a pleasant experience especially for the cost"
Having arrived from an international flight, I arrived the hotel at approximately 10am and was told I had to pay an additional 15Euros to check in early. My room was on the 8th floor and the elevator on the 8th floor wasn't working so I had to get off on the 7th floor and carry my luggage up a flight of stairs. The hallway on the 8th floor was undergoing […] construction so there construction equipment and debris everywhere. But the most disappointing was the heat in the room. I was told the air conditioning had not been turned on for the summer season yet so there was no air circulation in the room and it was a hot day with my window facing west with the sun bearing down through the room. When I asked to change rooms, I was told the hotel was booked and there were no other rooms. I was also told the air con wasn't working, under repair. I was not able to even sit in my room even though I paid 15Euros for an early check in. I was not able to sleep comfortably through the night because it was so hot. Wouldn't stay here again! "Disappointed"
Having paid Expedia in full for my stay, I was surprised to be told that I had to pay and additional 4 Euros in local taxes upon checking in to the hotel. The amount was not a lot, but clearly this was a hidden additional charge which I should have known about at the time of making my booking? For the record, I had already paid to Expedia the sum of […] US $7.33 to cover local taxes and service charges. "Not close to airport"
The hotel is nice, but not very close to Schiphol. The GPS in the rental car could not find it. Located next to a highway rest area with a service station and restaurants. "Hotel Schiphol A4 Amsterdam"
Non smoking room was full of cigarette burn marks in furniture and carpets, patios full of cigarette buds, this in 2 rooms! No nasal tissues supplied. As a contrast, dining food and service was excellent. Staff was very polite.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

A comfortable hotel on the road with all what you need to stay a night over. Few of good eating places across the street close by. Hotel also has a very good restaurant with a good food. "Siisti hotelli lähellä lentokenttää"
Siisti huone kaikin mukavuuksin. Hotellin sisätilat sokkeloiset. Ensin huoneeseen ja sitten takaisin aulaan on hankala löytää. Lähellä lentokenttää hyvä hotelli kohtuuhinnalla. "4 Sterne auf den ersten Blick!!!"
Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Was mich tierisch genervt hat, waren der Teppichboden im Zimmer und der Staub. Überall war Staub. Unter dem Bett befand sich auch noch Haarschmuck von den Vorgängern. Also mir scheint in dem Hotel wird nur oberflächlich geputzt. Den einzigen Pluspunkt den ich vergeben kann bekommt die Sauberkeit im Bad. Das […] war wirklich sauber, wenn auch kahl und ungemütlich. Die Lage ist eine Katastrophe. Direkt an der Autobahn.
