This place is totally bare bones, but if you just need to stop off for a night or two, it's a solid choice. Small room, no shampoo, no coffee, ... but, it was in a great part of town, my room was really quiet because it faced into a courtyard, and it was clean and safe.

very easy to find from the Amsterdam Centraal train station. It is about a 5 minute walk. Also near the hotel is a great shopping area (touristy). It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the Anne Frank house. Breakfast was good. the room was small (as expected). Also, taking a shower will wet the entire bathroom floor.

The location is very convenient, few minutes from Centraal Station. But this is not suitable for longer stay (3days or more) as they barely change the breakfast menu, plus very bad wifi connection.

I've stayed at this hotel many times because of how close it is to the Central Train station, and because they have competitive prices and the best breakfast in town! While the rooms are small, that doesn't matter to me because I only use the rooms for sleeping.

This is not a luxury hotel, but it's clean and cheap and the location is great (a couple of blocks from train station). In addition there's free wifi and a free breakfast that's very good. If you in Amsterdam to enjoy the city not lay around your hotel, this is a perfectly good choice.

It was very convenient to Central Station thus easy access to Schipol. My wife thought it was great there was a quilt shop just down the street. The location is very good, close to shopping, dining etc. The breakfast isn't served until 0700, a little late especially if you have an earlier flight.

The hotel location is fantastic. We only had 24 hours to explore the city and the location made it super easy to see Amsderdam's highlights. It is very close to Central Station. The room itself was a bit small and tired but for us, it was fine. There was a very large selection of foods at breakfast which was great.

Our room smelled like the sewer was backed up. The front desk clerk came to the room and agreed. She said they had no other rooms, and twice they tried to cover the smell by treating the shower drain. The second time they put lots of bleach down the drain, which did kill the sewer smell but left a strong bleach smell. I twice requested an adjustment, […] but was always put off by the staff. I know neighborhoods near main train terminals tend to be a little grubby, but this was a little grittier than expected. Breakfast was OK. No restaurant for dinner though. Cantraal station is very close, so it served it's purpose for my stay. Room was tiny, even by euro standards. Would call this an "adequate" place to stay. Caters to tourist trade. You are wary when you see sign offering room upgrade for more euros at check-in - right off, think that attractive room price saw on web isn't such a bargain. And found it to be so - one person room quiet, but cramped quarters, industrial grade floor carpet, not even a box of Kleenex, […] and only hotel room I used that had not been upgraded to flat screen TV yet. TV remote didn't work and told probably bad battery and I was told no one to come to my room, so told to bring it down to front desk for new one. It took four of staff, subsitute of different remote and 45 minutes to get a working one. Standard breakfast offerings. Somewhat typical European hotel - small room, small TV, old hairdryer, double bed which is actually two twins connected together. The rain shower was a good update, but being open to the bathroom (water runs everywhere) was the old-fashioned European approach. Nice thick towels, though! It has an excellent location BUT the room smell smoking, the radiator (hot air) doesnt work well. I asked the administration everyday to solve the problem but they doesnt solve it! The wifi conection in the rooms is really bad, it drops every minute. Really dont reccomend this hotel. In my next visit to AMS, will go to another place.

The hotel was clean enough, big enough and comfortable enough as a 3-star hotel. The location was great. Everything was nearby, so you even didn't need to take any trams. Only Museum area was a big far away. The free Wifi sometimes dropped off but it worked enough. The free breakfast was nothing special, but it was also good enough.

The carpet in the room had dark stains all over it which gave the whole room a grubby feel. Bathroom was clean however and the complimentary breakfast was very good for a European hotel. The location of the hotel was perfect being about 500 yards from central station. It made transferring to the airport by train very easy.

The hotel did not have our reservation but we had a copy of our reservation that had been paid in full. They said not to worry that they would straighten it our with the supplier and allowed us to check into a room (a quad at that). We were very lucky […] that they had a room for us. The room was clean and adequate as was the breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We walked to the hotel from the train station and we had a lot of luggage but it was not a problem. The hotel itself is nice, however the blonde girl who was checking me in was quite a bit snotty. I can't be sure, but it seemed to have something to do with me being an American. At first I thought I was just tired and maybe I was mis-reading things, but later when I asked another employee if he could recommend any of the restaurants nearby she butted […] in with "Burger King?" There were few options when we booked this hotel. It was pricey for a small room - our request for two twin beds was denied and we received a small double bed for my teenager and myself. I was with a group of 5 women on our way back to the US from Tanzania. We made a 24 hour stopover on Amsterdam to break up the travel and this hotel was perfect for us. It is so close to the train station that we rode the train from the airport and walked to the hotel. After we checked in we walked to the canal bus and toured around the city.
