La Sirène - Overlooking the confluence of five canals, this nautically themed restaurant specializes in fresh seafood. La Sirène's concept was created in cooperation with Michel Rostang, a two-Michelin-star executive chef and proprietor of the Le Dessirier in Paris. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast, set menus and à la carte lunch and dinner, and Sunday champagne brunch. A waterside terrace is open for lunch and dinner during warmer months, and the restaurant includes a bar. La Sirène received a Gault Milau rating of 13. Lounge - This lounge has a fireplace, upholstered sofas, canal views, and a full bar. Light meals and an afternoon tea are served daily. A waterside terrace is open during summer.
The on-site fitness center features exercise machines, free weights, and a television in a warmly lit room with hardwood floors.
The hotel can arrange private canal cruises for small parties. Bicycle rentals are available throughout the city for riding the bike-path (fietpads) network that crisscrosses the country. Vondelpark, about a mile from the hotel, is popular for jogging, walking, cycling, and roller-skating. Spread over several hundred acres, this lovely park also features outdoor cafés, gardens, duck ponds, a playground, and wide open spaces for soccer, Frisbee, or soaking up the sun.

Situated just south of the Museum Quarter, Apollolaan is an upscale residential area. It is approximately three kilometres from the city centre (10 minutes by bus), and is favoured by business travellers visiting the RAI Congress and Trade Fair Centre or World Trade Centre. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room view was beautiful however had some maintenance problems, which were tended to asap. Location is near shopping, transportation to inner-city, and walking distance to many great neighborhoods and cafes. The Wyndham Apollo Hotel is located in the perfect spot, on the confluence of 5 canals, with the bar/lounge/restaurants all on the water, this place is really a gem. Lovely service. "Expensive Wireless and no complimentary breakfast"
This hotel does not have free wireless. They charge 12 EURO for 24 hours wireless. I think being 4 star hotel and amount of money they charge for stay, they should have free wireless included. now a days wireless access is no longer luxury, it is neccessity. It's really too bad because this is a wonderful hotel in a nice neighborhood, albeit a bit far from downtown Amsterdam. The hotel is conveniently situated for the RAI if you're attending a conference and has some great views over the canals. Its partly refurbished currently so try to ensure you have one of those rooms if you can as the older rooms are a little tired and worn. Staff are reasonably helpful though the hotel lacks the welcome I've come to expect from a 4*. […] Note that if you book a pre-paid rate then Wyndham rewards wont add the nights to your points which is pretty poor. "The right hotel to choose in Amsterdam"
I booked into this hotel at the last minute, due to being unexpectedly called out to work at the RAI for a day. As a result there was not a great deal of choice in where to stay in Amsterdam that night and the Wyndham Apollo looked, on screen at least, like the best of a bad bunch. With this I certainly underestimated it. The room including bathroom […] was nice enough, if a bit on the small side, but the communal aspects of the hotel were simply excellent. As I sat on the terrace overlooking the small marina which is attached to the hotel, it became apparent that this is one of the places where Amsterdam's tasteful wealth congregates for dining & meeting purposes. Rightly so. The staff were discrete & attentive in their service and the food in both the bar & the restaurant was very good. Furthermore, everything I consumed during my stay was reasonably priced, for a hotel at least. To summarise, this is a really nice hotel charging the right rates & staffed by really nice people who are doing their jobs properly. I don't think you could ask for any more. Just stayed a couple of days at the Wyndham Apollo in Amsterdam... This was the first and definitely the last time! In general the room is very worn out; the toilet needs 3-4 attempts to flush, the bathtub is very "rusty" and for sure no one will spent time there, when showering (in the bathtub) the entire floor in the bathroom is flooded. Ik ben zeer tevreden over het hotel. Ik kreeg een gratis upgrade en de kamer was schoon, ruim, rustig en had een moderne inrichting. Het zag er nog nieuw uit. Fijn was ook dat je op de kamer thee kon zetten. Het meisje aan de balie was vriendelijk, maar niet professioneel. Ze leek er geen zin in te hebben of haar aandacht elders te hebben. "Bitte nicht stören...dann rufen wir doch an!"
Hallo, Nach einer langen Arbeitsnacht, konnte ich mich endlich um 8 Uhr ins Bett legen um dann erstmal um 9 Uhr per klopf Zeichen geweckt zu werden (darauf habe ich nicht reagiert), dann aber um 11 Uhr telefonisch geweckt zu werden, weil die Dame das Zimmer machen muss...Dabei war der Check-out um 12 Uhr geplant...Die Beschwerde unten an der Rezeption […] gab nur eine müde Entschuldigung und nichts anderes... Vi skulle på seminar på RAI for helgen og så etter et hotell i gangavstand. Hotellet lå godt til og vi fikk en meget hyggelig pris, så vi hadde ikke de største forventingene.
