The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic much–photographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.

The Rembrandt is a nice hotel and has a great location. You can walk to all the highlights in Amsterdam from this hotel. The only drawbacks are you have to pay for breakfast and the Wi-Fi service. "Excellent Location"

"Rembrant Classic - Great part of town."
We had a terrific stay in the Rembrant. We found its location to be perfect in relation to all the sights we wanted to see. Walk to Central Station was about 10 minutes. The hotel staff was super helpful, but I would go back for the location of the place alone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed for three nights in the hotel and found it very enjoyable. Very clean and the staff were really helpful. The room cleaning service was convenient around when we left our room. This is a great location, in the 9 streets area, just two minutes from the Dam.we did not try the breakfasts as we slept a lot, but it looked tasty and plentiful. "Perfect location but don't expect to get service!"
The location of the hotel was excellent. Just a few minutes walk from the Dam square. The staff at the reception seemed to be a bit lost. There were many of them just hanging around but you had to wait the service and ask for it. The check in took more time than ever before. The room was clean and nice but the bathroom was freezing. A very comfortable room with large bed. Unfortunately fireplace was not working. Bathroom in everage form with "falling" shower tap. "Great location, indifferent staff"
Hotel was good, room was good, plenty hot water, towels changed daily, soap replaced but I smelt cannabis in the corridor, despite there being a notice in the room warning of a 100 Euro fine for smoking. Reception staff occasionally unhelpful - printers not working on PCs and warned that they'd possible be "too busy" to help. Asked for extra pillow […] which never arrived. Keys stopped working on morning of departure, also maid wanted in at 8.30. Remember to put sign on door at all times! The hotel is in a fantastic spot but it feels old and tired. There is no free Wifi which is a very backwards way to run a hotel these days. Hotel bastante bem situado. Quarto amplo, daria para 4 pessoas mas eramos só dois, provalvelmente não havia mais pequeno vago. Ponto negativo foi a banheira situada junto a uma parede inclinada, o que implica que só uma pessoa (muito) pequena tinha conforto no banho :(. "Perushotelli - loistosijainti"
Hotelli itsessään on tyypillinen pikkuhotelli. Vaikka huone oli hieman nuhruinen ja pieni, korvasi kaiken hotellin loistosijainti. Jos sinua kiinnostaa shoppailla tai kuljeskella pubeissa ja kahviloissa, on tämä hotelli hyvä valinta. Overall I did enjoy my stay at the Rembrandt Hotel, but it did have a few negatives. The room was huge, but bed wasn´t very comfortable and the bathroom was tiny and had no windows. The room was also VERY dark, even with all the lights on. The staff was not very helpful, people could come in and out of the hotel even at late hours without the guy at […] the reception even noticing (it happened to us). The best thing about this hotel is the location. We had an amazing view of the Singel canal and there are lots of cool cafes, stores and restaurants nearby. Ærgeligt at det slidte, semi-rene indre overskygger hotellets smukke beliggenhed. Vi måtte skifte værelse efter første dag, idet det regnede ind gennem vinduerne. Personalet forklarede, at det regnede ind pga. vindretningen, selvom det bør være indlysende, at det ikke skal regne ind af lukkede vinduer. Vi fik nogle håndklæder, som skulle "klare problemet" […] i løbet af natten, hvilket kun hjalp i nogle timer, hvorefter vandet begyndte at løbe ned på gulvet. "Sentrumsnært og rimelig"
Hotellet ligger i et hyggelig nabolag med motebutikker og caféer like ved. Det er 4 minutter gange fra sentrumstorget Dam, hvor handlegatene, barer og restauranter ligger tett om hverandre. Rommet var overaskende stort, men badet var skuffende lite. Sengene var også noe hardere enn forventet. Planløsningen på hotellet kan være skremmende ved første […] blikk. Det inneholder et godt antall små og større trapper på hver etasje. Lobbyen er skuffende og frokostbuffeten er overpriset. Om man man tar seg en tur rundt hjørnet til frokost/lunsj-dineren 'Brødrene Bernt' får man en stor frokost med alt av tilbehør til 7€. Room service er rimelig og det er rask servering.
