The hotel is fine, but it shares a common entrance/gate with the Tropen Museum. Late night, this gate is closed and on my return I got anxious on how to ask the hotel to open it so I could enter. There is a bell, but with a sign in Dutch and no indication that it is linked to the hotel and not the museum. We had a very good stay at Tropen hotel. If you like to be in a quiet neighborhood then you should pick this hotel. Easy access to City Center, 20'-25' walk or 10' by tram, that has stop very close to hotel. Staff is very friendly. Take extra time to check in or check out because normaly there is only one person at reception.

- asked for a double bed, got a twin. told by staff maximum rooms are twins. - bed linen had plenty of human hair left,.yuk yuk yuk.... ( dont think they were washed from previous) - toilets are weird. seriously weird. they confuse you the moment u enter. - insistence on getting a cerdit card, why ... The hotel was out of the city centre but there was a tram stop (no 9 tram) right outside. We chose this hotel as we were attending an event at the Tropen museum which was right next door. On arrival at midday a room with a double bed was not available unless we upgraded to a superior room. We decided to wait until 3pm when our room was ready. The bed […] was comfy. There were several English tv channels. There was just a shower in the bathroom. The bathroom was small and a little dark for doing makeup etc. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the coffee wasn't the nicest. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. We had a lovely view over the park from our window. We did not have any meals within the hotel. There was a nice cafe across the road ( it had Eden in the name) and we had a nice meal in a near by tapas bar. All in all the hotel served it's purpose for our visit. I would recommend staying closer to the centre if you are on a short break. Read more

The hotel was as expected, easy to get to with the number 9 tram (get off at eerste van swindonstraat) the tram stops outside the hotel, I booked this one becasue it's a little out of the centre, so a bit quieter in the evenings, but still easy to get to all the tourist traps. The Dapper Market is across the street, running most days, so easy to grab […] food and other essentials. Staff are friendly and helpful, NIce food served and a nice bar.. El hotel esta muy bien tanto en sus istalaciones, atencion, limpieza como localizacion. Esta a 5 min en bicicleta (por cierto las bicicletas del hotel son fantasticas) y a 10 min en el tranvia 9. Hotel is good enough for short business stay. Quality-price ratio is just ok. Room was rather small with odd layout (closet in bathroom, separate toilet). Hotel is extremely dated and in need of complete renovation. Breakfast is overpriced. Good feature is that it is next to Royal Tropical Institute where I had an early morning meeting.

Het Tropen hotel is enigszins verouderd, maar de kwaliteit van de bedden maakt veel (zo niet alles) goed. En dan nog de plek: in een rustige omgeving vlak bij de bruisende binnenstad. En vlak bij de hippe Watergraafsmeer. Fijn om bij het hotel te kunnen parkeren, maar daar betaal je wel de hoofdprijs voor (€ 20 voor ruim een etmaal).

Hotel économique et bien placé, à 5mns en tramway du centre historique d'Amsterdam, 20 mns à pied. Propre, correct, et service agréable. Seul petit pb: le WIFI gratuit ne marche pas dans le lobby et le parking n'est pas compris: 20€ pour 24h. Chambre et SB petites mais correctes. Télé cathodique et peu de programmes.

Hotelli sijaitsee mukavalla paikalla, hieman ydinkeskustan ulkopuolella. Raitiovaunulla matka taittuu keskustaan vajaassa kymmenessä minuutissa (pysäkki sijaitsee aivan hotellin vieressä). Das Hotel liegt direkt neben dem Tropenhotel. Bahnverbindung ist Super da direkt vor der Haustür eine Haltestelle ist. Das Hotel ist Sauber, das Personal total Nett, das Frühstücksbuffet ist auch in Ordnung, nur halt mit 12 Euro pro Person ist das trotzdem ein stolzer Preis. Fazit: Gutes Hotel, fairer Preis und es ist wirklich Empfehlenswert!

Super Hotel in Stadtlage dennoch ruhig und mit der Tram zum HBF ca 15min. . Die Hotelbar im Eingangsbereich erfüllt auch gern Sonderwünsche insofern alles da ist. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Hotel hat eine super Verkehrsanbindung zur Tram (9) mit der man in 15 min am Hbf ist. Ein schöner Park ist gleich neben dem Hotel :) Das Zimmer war sehr schön (Standart mit Blick auf das Tropenmuseum), zwar etwas klein aber in ordnung. Das Bad war etwas abgewohnt, Kalk in der Dusche und der Duschkopf etwas schäbig aber alles noch im Rahmen des erträglichen. Das […] einzigste was uns sehr gestört hat is das der Roomservice nicht richtig geputzt hat. Es war SEHR staubig und eigentlich wurde nur das Bett gemacht und die Handtücher ausgetauscht. Der Boden war staubig und bröselig (von Snacks die wir gegessen haben), im Bad wurde die ganze Zeit die wir dort waren nicht einmal das Waschbecken abgewischt obwohl die Seife (grün) Reste hinterlies. Alles in allem würden wir aber trotzdem wieder dort Buchen, man kann alles super erreichen! und es ist für amsterdamer Verhältnisse gut gewesen :D Read more
