"STAY ELSEWHERE STAFF TOO UPTIGHT"
UNFRIENDLY STAFF nice hotel but rooms very tiny for a 4 star . very cramped. no elevator only small lift. breakfast good and price not bad for all you get. but again staff not friendly no good morning just total silence, aside for, ROOM #?the neighborhood was wonderful. walking distance to many points of interest.This was my 6th trip to amsterdam but […] would not stay at Bildeberge Jan Luyken again. Probably better for seniors, or company group trips. Not a hotel to stay at if you look like you like to have fun. Young people stay away. You will not be welcomed. too conservative. "Smallest room ever!"
Hotel location fine but having paid decent money for a 4* hotel to find ourselves booked in to a room that may previously been the broom cupboard, where there was literally no room to bend over in and you had to lie down on the floor to access the safe (which didn't work anyway!) is freakin unforgivable. I have stayed here before, because the location ios fabulous, 2 min from the major museums, and on a direct tram route to everywhere. The hotel is small but has everything that I need for a short break in Amsterdam. The surrounding area with its desgner shops is quiet and calm, with plenty of restaurants for evenings out.
