this is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The room is very dirty, with stain on the bed linen and carpet. The wardrobe floor even have bits and pieces of potato chips. The faucet of the bathtub is hard to control, with water either too hot or too cold. Bathroom walls have mildew. They charged RM2 for toothbrush too. The hotel is near the bus terminus at Komtar 8 minutes by walking. It certainly has its glorious days perhaps a decade ago. Room includes breakfasts and cabled internet (though hicups at times). It caters for numerous tourists groups, so it does not rely on retail customers much. If basic rooms are available, you get what you pay for. "Gorgeous Korean Restaurant"
The Korean Restaurant offered us meals at 10pm, excellent quality and quantity and served courteously; otherwise the room was spacious although run down and with molds at corners. The condition of the toilet was terrible,and on hotel.com, we saw a comment about a BBQ steamboat restaurant serving delicious food. We went there to eat. Room was satisfactory, and our room had a (semi) sea view. Wireless was only available at the hotel lobby, and cabled internet access is provided in the room. An iron and an ironing board was provided within the room, which facilated us with easy and convenient ironing of clothes. We chose the hotel for its location which is near to the eating places and we are not disappointed as it it linked by the hotel's back door. Ask for higher floors where the rooms are newly renovated.
